  1. I bet you could install your OEM movement in the Paul case, but the OEM dial is a hair too small in diameter to fit...we tried this with an OEM 1675 dial that I bought off the Bay In terms of making these pointy CGs with all the correct angles and facets...it is a true work of art. I can't take this watch off.

    Wm Vintages

Not really a "vintage" but an homage WM nonetheless...
  3. It's an aftermarket jubilee that Joe sold me.
  4. When Joe says "mold" he isn't referring to an actual mold (as in how he made my Brevet crown)...he means that we used this picture as the model that we wanted to emulate.
  5. You're welcome. I love it. I really like the dial paint used on the hour markers...much more genuine looking now. It doesn't have that 'relumed' 'raised' appearance that is a dead-giveaway of a refinished dial. He now has my 1680 and 1665 for dial painting in this same manner.
  6. We tried to build the 1675 using my WM 1675 case, but the rehaut was too deep and the bezel was too thick. The Paul case was thinner, with a shallower (more correct) rehaut and the bezel was thinner (albeit, still way to thick to pass as genuine.) The CGs required many hours of reviewing and discussing various versions of genuine "pointy" CGs that I found in pics off the internet. We ultimately settled on this shape. We discussed the magnification issue, on the crystal, and I decided that I wanted to keep the higher-power magnification (just my preference.) I tried on both the rivet bracelet and the jubilee and both my wife and I much prefered the jubilee on this watch. More close-up pics...
  7. Just for clarification...this is not a genuine 1675. It is a Paul 1675 (with the "pointy" CG mods and bezel mods) with WM dial, and Michael Young small GMT hand.
  8. You beat me to the punch on that thought. oooh, the good ol' days
  9. That's a fantastic tutorial...I almost think I could do this if I had those tools.
  10. I love those CG's and small GMT hand. Nice

    Glenn Beck

He did an interview with the Al Sharpton, yesterday, and was wearing a Panerai. I couldn't see the face of the watch so I can't tell which one he had on. He called out Al Sharpton, after he made some of his trademark comments of the 'repressed black man'...Glenn asked him to pull up his sleeves and said 'what is that on your wrist...that's an $18,000 gold Rolex Presidential...' Al responded by saying it was a gift or something. Classic hypocrisy.
  12. In this link you will see the final product "WM Vintages" post

  14. Ubi, Has your boiling blood recovered sufficiently enough to get back into this great project watch? It certainly would be among my favorites. I am looking forward to seeing more pics as it comes along.
  15. This is what you need: -MBW or WM model -Michael Young bezel and insert -Case and dial marker customization -drill out lug holes -New Tropic crystal
  16. Just be sure that you don't mind devloping a nice callous on your wrist...I hear that the crown digs in due to its' size. It sure is a good looking piece. I wish it had a date function.
  17. I knew it was. Wish I weren't still an indentured servant...just a few more years.
  18. Not that I make anywhere close to this, but here are the 2005 US National Salary Averages for various MD specialties:
