  1. Randy- I like the black dial a bit better.
  2. If you can figure out where to get a few reliable movements (that fit this case)...I want in
  3. ...I think I know what that means
  4. DW definitely has the best...but mine mainly sits in the case just looking pretty as I am too affraid to wind it.
  5. OMG! You finally got an engine...that is going to be unbelievable once your done!!
  6. This just shows how good these reps are...very few people could tell the difference between either and a genuine IMO. The font on the insert of pic #1 is more like the genuine in Jetson's pic. I'll bite and say watch #1.
  7. ... is a near 100% guarantee of bird-mods in my town. You're much safer with a bright UV light (indoors). It will take years in the sun to get the same aging on the lume as a week in direct artificial UV.
  8. I hear that bird poop leaves a nice patina
  9. That isn't true in Los Angeles where casual (or even 'shlumpy'...Yiddish for messy or unkempt) attire is commonplace among the nouveau riche. Walk down the streets of Beverly Hills on a Sunday morning through the farmers market and see what I mean (torn jeans, wrinkled and untucked shirts, sneakers and Rolexes and Cartiers abound...)
  10. When I was in high school and college I took all different kinds of jobs (janitor at our neighborhood hardware store-did this for 2 yrs, vacuum boy at the local car wash- I was the only manual labor worker there who spoke English...did this for 2 yrs, package delivery driver, bagger at a grocery store-lasted one shift, summer camp counselor, construction, etc...) That guy at the local Taco Bell could have been me or any number of kids I grew up with. You can't judge a book by its cover. I grew up in a neighborhood that was full of well-to-do families and kids with trust funds (unfortunately not mine) or very generous parents. Despite our comfortable homes, a bunch of us worked for extra cash. I saved my money and paid for a 3 month trip around Europe when I graduated high-school...I could have bought two genuine 1680 Subs (had I even known what that was at that time.) Your job or your 6-year old BMW (mine is 5.5-years old now) doesn't say everything about you.
  11. Man...that is one fantastic 3646!! It was worth every penny.
  12. Eye.Surgeon- What was the point of this post...to make people know that you have a deep 6-figure salary...or to make people feel badly about owning a rep of a watch that they can't afford in genuine? I don't make as much as you but I'm addicted to this hobby. I enjoy trying to get a rep look as close to genuine as possible- there are quite a few of us who feel the same on these forums.
  13. Because I wanted to turn my LV into a maxi-black sub...got tired of the green and thought it would look sharp wearing a black insert.
  14. Yours is so retro Here's my RBJ ultimate black sub
  15. You are one lucky guy. That is an enviable piece!
  16. Impressive! That was some serious modding.
  17. I can definitely vouch for Randy's customer service (speedy, great communication and very friendly.) Randy has hinted here that he may be open for business...which is great news for the board if he is. He has replaced inserts, a dial and an crystal for me...and the work looks great.
  18. Nice Job!! Are you open for business?
  19. Thank you Randy!!!! You are a true gentleman
  20. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions about folks wearing replicas. Who cares what he thinks. I am a medical doctor and I think that you are one cool nurse with good taste (and you're honest too...which is to be very respected.)
