As Jennifer Saunders said famously on Ab Fab, "You work in a shop." If they want your watch in the US they better have a gun.
Fooling a salesperson is meaningless, and I bet most of the stories on the forum are crap anyhow. Most of them are newbies with unmodded subs which would never fool anyone.
ajoesmith has the hottie. Does anyone know if she is the actress with a movie (or DVD) being advertised on the tube right now?
Does "put it up my ***" ring a bell from the old forum? LOL
Hi:
You need to read more HERE at this site. Do a search and you will find hundreds of opinions on every sub plus mods etc. I think this is way too much for what is still a fairly imperfect rep, but other folks like um.
Cheers.
The pilot watches are at a great price point used...you have to give um that for sure. The port's are overpriced--a JLC movement for 2 grand more than a JLC (although they do look damn good). In these kind of polls it's just "nice to be mentioned."
Yup, I like this one. The small sub-dials are incorrect, but I think better looking than the "owl eyes" on the original. All the finishing is high quality.
As an aside, even among the Patek WIS, this watch is regarded as severely over-priced. Basically an in-house Landeron for 50 large.
Cheers.
Great info. My wife is Thai. I'm weighing the greater pain...taking her with me to buy a 1680 and letting her know its $200+ or paying the $450 from here ;-). She thinks all the good reps are $20 like the crap...not sure where she got that impression ;-).
My current plan is to ask her all the words I need independently and then put the sentance together myself!
We learn so much so qulckly in this forum regardless of the picture quality.
Cheers.
Hi all,
I just acquired Josh's beginnermariner and modded the CGs and crown. The cyclops causes a lot of shadowing on this model. Is there any way to cure this? Would replacing the cyclops help?
Thanks,
Steve.
"After 16 years, the 1966 Antarctic Expedition has returned home. Before the administrative closure of this expedition I wish to express all of our satisfaction with the exceptional quality of your Rolex and Tudor watches we ordered from you back in November 1965." Due to their exceptional cost, they remained onboard the boat, but we broke tham out for our homecomming celebration and all looked quite dashing. Could we get some with diamonds next time.
