  1. Yup, many thanks!
  2. Here's a screenshot of the IWC website. They show two models. Assuming this is accurate, you can see how the lower picture looks silver while the upper picture looks champagne. For clarity, one of the models is the black dial.
  3. And with that last comment a brief welcome to all our visitors from Google who were searching for something entirely different.
  4. CGs look like PP nautilus. I still find the rehaut printing the most objectionable aspect.
  5. Jetsons, do you want to share the recipe for that watch? Looks nice.
  6. These still come with a plexy crystal correct? I just put a huge gash in my swiss 212 and would love to find a saphire replacement. I've taken smaller divots with a sand wedge.
  7. The two Ts are certainly easier to spot than on an 036
  8. Boy, you got it bad Jay. I love it! Plus all our 036 reps suddenly got a lot better!
  9. There's a "how many reps is too many" thread from a few days ago that has your name written all over it.
  10. A micron is 1/1000 of a millimeter so I'd be careful.
  11. Some of you may remember that I was lucky enough to send the first PM when Arthur put this rare Fifty Fathoms rep up for sale in the member trade area. First, let me say that Arthur is the best
  12. Ebay. You can get NOS Omega, Piaget, Cartier, Vacheron, Perregaux, etc. straps at that price. Better than any aftermarket. Also search Camille Fournet. e.g. 380004238775
  13. Anybody else think it's too bad they don't let their advertising agency design their watches? Kidding of course.
  14. Beautiful watch Sanro. Fine watches are always 'too much' to spend, but as long as you get a good price they retain their value. So you didn't really spend anything See, now you can start looking for another. Kruzer, your PAM is one of the great watches made today.
  15. Well how do you think the 6497s get in the case. Duh! BTW, Jaegers are to be judged based on complications available in stainless steel for $3500 via Malaysia making them one of the less overpriced brands about. $200,000 is an outlier purely for publicity. Panerai are (to date) like Rolex--less about the movement, more about the models and design details. As the JLC movements continue to trickle "down" that will change. Cheers.
  16. More pigeon trivia! How many times do we have to ask!
  17. Which is why most customers aren't looking to go anywhere. That's the key. The more whining from the sellers the better, unless you happen to be one.
  18. My favorite of all the Panerai designs and an excellent rep. Good luck to all the bidders.
  19. Indeed. Cutie (her not you). Cheers.
  20. My local AD has a 212 in stock (I have the rep), and I was surprised how close the reps of these fiddy chronos are. Some of the details may be off, but the overall look is spot on.
  21. Gotta be real. I've been pleased with the Watchboys leather straps, although I haven't seen crocodile.
  22. Well...I'm unloading all kinds of stuff today... I have a 44mm ti and stainless bracelet if you cannot find a new one. It has some scratches but not bad. Maybe 90%. Actually, the scratches are mostly on one link which could be removed if you don't need the full length. Cheers.
  23. Hi all, Sorry to revive an old post but I wanted to add my story. I recently received a PAM 217 from a fellow member that was gaining one hour every four when it arrived..yes, that's six hours fast a day! Not sure if he sold it due to this problem, or if it took a knock in the mail. Anyhow, I tried nudging the balance spring thinking the coils might be stuck...no luck. Then I noticed that the outer coil was not moving because it had actually looped out around the regulator (or whatever you call the thing that holds the end of the spring). It took a good (and I'm sure risky) push to free it and the watch is now accurate to about five seconds a day. Amazing. There is so much great information here!
