I thought about that, too... and decided not to wear rep rubber straps anymore. I also don't wear rep leather straps. You just don't know what's in them and what will find it's way through your skin... I do think most of the straps are probably OK, but it's not worth to take the risk imo.

The gens have a slight blue tint, too btw. At least my G-series 112 has.

I agree with Pete - the SC on the PVD looks just great! And 25$ is ridiculous...

Little Hero is the way to go if you want the best... his new versions have more subtle AR, very gen-like. If you don't want to spend that much I would look for a nice modded one (EL, DSN) from another member, re-lumed, CP-fixed, maybe a better CG. Should be roughly half the price of a LH. With see-through casebacks you will always have the movement issue... no rep movement is near perfect, still LH is the best one here as well.

I like it! Well done! Better than the Mare Nostrum imo, somehow more harmonic. Replace Panerai by your new brand name, produce the watch, sell it!

Little Hero got my CG from New York to Germany in 4 days by normal Air Mail! Overseas shipping is really unpredictable... I had registered letters to the US take from 4 days to 4 weeks... Tracking usually doesn't get updated, too.

Sold for 2000 euros... The seller replied to my questions - wasn't sure if the bracelet was gen, no proof of purchase, J-serial number (didn't give me the whole number). I still think it's a gen watch with a rep bracelet. And although the seller might have bought the watch legally it still could be from a dubious source.

LOL But seriously... that's pretty scary!

I asked the seller if the bracelet is genuine, which serial no. the watch has (or at least which year it is from) and if he has some proof of purchase. Hasn't answered yet... I thought so, too - watch looks gen from what I can see (could also be franken), bracelet is fake imo because he wrote strange things like "comes on a special steel bracelet"... and I doubt he has a proof of purchase.

Hi! I already wanted to sell my Carrera a couple of weeks ago, I just didn't wear it anymore. The main reason was that I never really liked the bracelet, too wobbly and too much stretch. So after a bit of thinking (and because I didn't get good offers for the watch... ), I decided to keep it and buy a nice racing-style leather strap for it. So I did... here's the result: What do you think? I really like it and haven't taken the watch of my wrist for the last couple of days. And the strap was below 20 euros... Cheers, Whatever123

Thanks, Pete! Great comparison shots! From what I see I would say, the downside of the gen CG doesn't have the same slope as the upper side. The downside looks more flat on the pics. Ist that true? Apart from that the LH CG seems to be quite good, maybe a bit too much slope / too concave.

Hi! Whenever I look at my LH 111i, I am wondering if the gen CG is really that concave. I haven't found a pic of a gen that shows the CG from the side like in this pic: Anyone with a gen who can confirm the CG is curved like this? No, not really... I've never been a fan of nato straps anyway. I only occasionally like them on vintage Rollies.
