Thanks mate As usual I cant watch it !!! Its the same with all US shows it shows the advert then says this cannot be played in my area !! I think it reads my IP address recognises I am in UK and cuts me off !! I had this trying to watch the last episode of Monk and some Family guy shows when they first aired!!

Argh !!! Now theres a question that could go on forever !!! There is no simple answer as there are all sorts of factors, prices, particular flaws rated against other flaws etc!! and for us as collectors each is different in what we look for. Basically I find DSN overpriced and over rated Dont get me wrong I am not saying its crap or bad just not as good as some may think or be led to believe. SOME of his parts though; are and have been the best option for us. The best would be the one I hope to have completed by early next year ;) Nothing to do with anything going on, on the forums The next choice would be the EL if you can find one. Some say the jackson case aint bad but needs slight modding on the crown tube the crown otherwise sits too high. Compared to DSN the price is awesome!! Great for a PVD PreV Others say the best DSN PreV cases are actually on some of his A-C series cases (watches) !!!!!!!! Though I have no idea why he doesnt use them !! The DSN for me has to many flaws, crystal height, lug height and shape and the lug bar holes plus edges of case etc etc add to that the price and I would rather find another !! There are a few guys that like the older style Helenerou with Jackson bezel (as his are correct height or were!! ) Again decent price etc The latest Helenrous are a bugger with decent crystals I understand and not as good !! There are others who prefer some of the Ultimate cartel cases then part out to recover outlay. I did find a great one, that I sold stupidly!! But it was from a 318 from a non trusted, I noticed the case, it was a cheapie ($160) I asked if that was what I would get he sent me QC pics and it was!! IMHO the best lugs I ever had plus bezel height, great crystal etc and all on a crappy Brooklyn SE !!!!! At least with the others you can drill correct lug holes and source better PreV bars on eBay !! I am sure guys here all have their own opinions but thats what makes us a great forum I just have my own and will stick with that

The crown looks like a T, the CG looks TB or WSO but rest seems DSN. I agree with the Munsters Though if I was going FGD dial and hands I wouldnt use a DSN case personally Great Pics mate

You have quite a few options for the 47mm's The thing is the distortion can be over considered on these watches as OP produced at least 3 variations on the 127 and 2 on the 217 plus what ever followed with CS after service!! The gens do have distortion especially the first production run, there was a lot of criticism about it and OP then changed the thickness on the angle. Thats why 217s gens vary to 127s gens and some 127s vary with each other. The 127s do basically have distortion and a bluey purpley AR with variations, the trick with reps is finding the right balance. What you will never find, so far, is the correct shape. All reps are quite obvious because they are not flat like the gens so once you have seen this in your hand they are very easy to spot. If you have an overly distorted crystal you can reduce the loupe effect with AR on the inside, if you use Takas best AR or Uwe's AR you will reduce the distortion to mimic a more gen like look but of course you forgo the AR look of the gen. As unless its changed Fines has a slight yellow hue and Taka has a blue (very slight but blue) of course the AR should be removed on the outside. Also a single sided Chief is even better if you can get it done The best replacement crystal I have seen with the closest attributes distortion and AR is Rex's, though these vary and if he has them in stock then you need to ask him to pick you one. DSNs can also be very good (for a ep) but the AR lets it down so a DSN crystal with Taka or Fines AR is OK as a replacement. The other one I have seen that is also or rather has been is Paneraiboutique but again its a lottery like DSNs can be!! But the same can be said with Jacksontse or Tat's. All the options will fit your 47mm the key is the gasket and correct fitment this is the biggest cause of cracking, exploding crystals, though temperature changes are also a reason!! Plexi is OK but would not be a choice I would make on the contemporary 47s.

It bodes well But I am not sure ( as always !! ) why they say its the 2894 with chrono module? I thought the 2894 was a 2892 with a chrono module? Though regardless there is no asian 2892, 2894; is there?? I thought these were just reconfigured Asian to simulate secs at 3? Like the B&R 94s

Worn in rotation these are OK mate. I wouldnt want it as a beater But as for gen like finish it is off especially the screws and lustre. But 99% of people wont notice !!
