Yes basically its just the 6497 top hand wind movement, no swan neck. And I agree if not better! I think the key to repping this will be the usual issues rather than the movement, I think its best to stick the basic rep OPI. And concentrate on all the other flaws. Just think if they got this one right it would basically open the flood gates on a whole range of decent OTB rep PAMs A forlorn hope for now I think!! Its a shame though given all the hype on Risti in the build up to production. But I guess the argument was for a roots (618 etc, etc) based PAM

That is lovely, its not often I see a photograph that makes me feel like I am actually there.... very nice I wish I understood what you mean by that shutter speed.....I asume from the pics its a slowed down action of taking the photo? Is that something I could do on my camera? Which is just a family camera. Its a Samsung 10.2Mp WB500. I looked in the manual but to be honest it doesnt really say much apart from charging pointing and auto options. I would love to do that with the hand movement on my watches!! I assume the camera could make the hand look continous on a full rotation. Anyway regardless those are great photos Thankyou :thumbsupsmileyanim:

No mate dont be, it was nice to see the pic thanks for sharing. I will remove Gen as I meant all lume really It does surprise me though that considering how much stock we put in luming of reps that we dont have a lume shot section. A lot of forums out there do have a section dedicated to just lume shots. I would love to see that here Especially with some of the photo skills our members have I bet there would be some awesome pics and a good reference source to share.

Great work mate, Thanks for sharing I think I would prefer the lid to fold over (creased) rather than be stitched at the top but thats my personal preference It looks good either way. Is the inside just the underside of the leather? If so is there enough room to wrap the 47mm in a soft cloth? And most importantly which vintage PAM are you putting the strap on??

I agree totally, I have reread what I said and to me it makes sense, but that dont mean it does to everyone else I meant if you bring DSN into it, his quality of lume drops even further from what Zig and Vac do. I am still reading what I wrote and it seems to say that to me.... What I meant was once you bring DSN into the discussion there is no comparison to Zig and Vacs lume in relation to the gen lume. Zig and Vac are the closest you will get to gen currently. So .....Zig and Vac good.......DSN not

the pattern is different and very nice I agree and gives a different look to the gen straps. That shine is the same in the lighter ones from panatime as well, having bought a few myself regrettably

Much as I would like to agree I dont think I can, having had all of those lumes myself on watches there is a difference that seperates the gen but maybe thats the overall aspect of the gen lume that cant be recreated as a whole thats influencing me. I mean in terms of sharpness, height, for example but not limited to. Admittedly that threshold (quality) drops even more once you bring DSNs lume etc into the equation.

I dont think there is a hope of decent rep version especially the way the leather sits in the rubber after all they cant even do a standard alli or croc strap. I do love those straps though

I recall a post which I thought was on here but now I am not so sure..... but someone had their 300 relumed and posted pics. The lume wasnt too bad but I cant remember who it was. Can anyone recall. I have been through about 12 pages plus a search but cant see it. I ask because I was told recently that Rob couldnt or wouldnt do the lume himself as the markers were too narrow, I would be interested to revist the pics. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
