  1. Avoid the 360 mate... to much wrong with it IMHO when its on the wrist... I would go for a closed CB to avoid issues on the movements.. My favourite is still the 288 out the box but if its a luminor case you are after then I would go for the 005 myself Though all of them have varying degrees of flaws whether sandwich or sausage etc... its just a case of what you are happy to wear without minor modding though as a general they all need the CP sorting as those 'Mr Whippy' CPs stand out on all of them..
  2. You will find some good reviews on David in this section and in his dealers section ... here and on other forums
  3. You guys are so spoilt !! The only time I got it free was sending through Richemont direct... they sent me a package kit and freepost bag etc.. Blimey thats some corrosion.... over what period did it occur? Given you clearly had some moisture in there I would defo get it back to OP for regasketing etc Just for my piece of mind especially on such a lovely model
  4. Before you waste your time meeting the guy I would just ask him to send you a few pics tagged of the actual watch back and front... even just phone pics.. If you do go for watchsmith be aware that a lot of them wouldnt know a good rep from a gen if you hit them with it ! Or a pic of the warranty cards or S/N as you can check this on Omega Website
  5. I know it always comes down to budget but if you aint had it serviced for a good while... it would be worth getting it all done properly by OP.... I am not sure what prices are like in Germany but in UK you can go to any OP dealer/Boutique and they will charge around £30 to send it to OP... then OP write direct to you with a quote for the work but as WM says the service is mandatory as they give a 12 month warranty .. so its parts and service... if you dont want it done then OP send it back and its only cost you the £30.. I suggest you contact OP direct at Richemont customer service.. either phone or Email them.... if you are not near an OP dealer then Richemont will send you out a returns package for sending the watch to OP for work.. I really think its worth doing this first or at least finding out the SP from OP Germany direct... ie not a dealer they will give you a load of [censored] and add OHP etc... If not try a WTB or contact Vanni, Wan etc... I know Vanni gets a few bits like that and can get to order but it will cost you at least five times what OP would charge so for same price you would get a free service thrown in if you went to OP which is a way to look at the higher cost of grey market gen parts compared to going direct to OP... PS- Any pics?
  6. When I saw this question I thought if there was one person on this forum who could answer that question...it is w0lf.... Blinding !! A truely great source of information and a great guy

    Pam 000

Totally agree with other guys on the 'H Factory' version but the hands really bug me so I wouldnt want either without modding them
  8. You can find the same exhasperations with sellers.... I remember many moons ago now... I made the same sort of PM to Sam about one of his watches... " I will take it!" I said in my PM send me your PP.... to my shame I never got back to him... now without making excuses I was a little worse for wear when I sent it and although at the time I meant what I said, the time difference for reply and the realisation that I had already spent to much in those few weeks earlier in the cold light of day meant I was to embarassed as a new noob to admit my over enthusiasm... I did apologise eventually but that was much later when we became friends I think such a list might only alienate people who make genuine mistakes through an over enthusiasm for this hobby when starting out... and get caught up in that 'I want them all' excitement.. Since then the same has happened to me when selling and when buying... but thats life.... swings and roundabouts I would like to think RWG members are a little more forgiving of noob members... unlike other forums.... however persistent offenders should be banned !!! :) (That last bit was just my humour) Hope that makes sense
  9. Just dont go mad with it mate as the gen is also recessed....
  10. Mate... Dont worry about the PreV just yet.... it will take time o pick up all the history... Pick yourself up a decent OTB PAM then if you enjoy it then things will move forward and before you know it you will have a box full
  11. I have loved this strap since I first saw it last year.... If I could get one for $230 I would have it in a shot but over here they are twice that !!! I have seen the way these patina now they have been around for a bit and have to say thats its only down side for my tastes...
  12. +1 on Zig If its a Luminor case you decide on then cheapest option is to order one done already from DSNs latest models and swap the case you have and sell it on... Or wait for one in sales section... they always come along
  13. Personally on an auto I would go OEM.... but if not then I would be looking at calf A series style... Orloff does some nice examples..
  14. +1 Whats your opinion especially on the movement... has that been updated? Any pics?
  15. I have never had an issue with any straps from TC straps.... but Elliots communication is very inconsistent and his willingness to help on queries has always been a failing IMHO... for that reason I wont use him anymore... However I dont think you are wrong to expect some sort of recognition of your troubles in getting the item you ordered considering you stated the correct info at the time of ordering... Chalk it up mate as we all do and find another source of straps.... the great thing is.... there are plenty of options..... and if you do want an alligator then if you can then always go OEM and if you cant then save for it... its well worth it
  16. So have you posted it for sale yet or are you waiting to see it completed ???
  17. LOL Tanya Funny enough I watched another episode and in different scenes he had the CG in others it wasnt there.... same watch though But he must enjoy the PAMs because in some episodes he has an antique brown alligator on buckle in others a non OEM calf.... so he clearly swaps them or his wardrobe guy is a Risti and enjoys doing it !!
  18. Totally agree on the vintage PAMs but I just cant understand why you would wear any watch with two holes showing in the side of the case and more importantly on view on your wrist... Makes me wonder if this guy is contracted to wear a PAM in the show?
  19. The CG is your problem not the case... You can source good versions if you look around... JF etc or even the 111J Personally i would look for a gen CG... I know V was selling one recently on VPRisti. Or try a WTB on that forum and here
  20. I was watching a new programme over here in UK called 'Law & Order' Los Angeles... I noticed the bald headed lead detective was wearing a DL but he had removed the CG... I assume the CG was pressing into his wrist (He is RH) etc ... I wonder how many guys do this... its the first I have seen... wonder why he dont consider a destro but having said that... not sure I understand why anyone would wear a PAM without the CG.... if I was that way minded I would get a Rad... and considering he cant of paid for it.... why not go Rad unless of course he pulled it out of wardrobe.... Anyone else seen this before...??
  21. Hi mate Sorry to be another pain mate but mine has gone too
