  1. Have all the DWs been sent out yet? I'm still patiently waiting for mine.
  2. Gosh I'm so tempted to buy this rep... I've been holding off to get this for such a long time..........
  3. This watch comes with both white and black datewheel, and both versions do exist. I've seen a black datewheel and white datewheel one at my Hublot AD in Toronto. Earlier production runs had white datewheels, and more recent ones I've seen are coming up with black datewheels. Nonetheless, they are accurate. By the way, only the CF dial for the Ceramic is accurate as far as I know. I've never seen one with a plain dial, but the brushed Ceramic bezel on that one is quite interesting. I also think the expense for this one may be due to the intricate shaping of the Ceramic bezel, if you notice the edge patterns are quite complex. I've contacted King to price this one, because she normally ends up cheaper than the rest.
  4. I have been stuck in my office at the Unviersity of Toronto for the last 72 hours, without going home, and I'm still going to be working through the night for at least two more days. I have to get my theses proposal done by next Tuesday, and I'm still very far away from finishing my proposal. On wednesday, I also have to prepare a presentation to a panel of 6 professors, outlining the direction of my research, and how I plan to accomplish it, along with a timeline. I spent more than 90 hours last week in my office, and I've spent almost 100 hours this week. Which basically means I will no longer have time for this forum. Please, please understand if I am unresponsive in my PMs or e-mails, since I am in a period of very high stress right now, but I will try to answer PMs relating to transactions as soon as possible.
  5. I would say that chad's behaviour is very similar to what a lot of us believed one time, even though we may not like to admit it. What I've learned after so many years of business study, is that people want the same product, but by paying the lowest possible price, provided even if they could afford the more expensive article. When they get the item, they fool themselves into believing that this "bargain" item is the exact same as the more expensive product, and they expect it to perform the exact same operations, have the same quality, when they clearly do not. This is exactly what we're seeing here in the replica world. People see genuine watches they like, but either can't afford them, or want to pay the lowest possible price for a substitute that comes close to it, and when they get it, they want the exact same quality as the more expensive, $10,000 item, but of course we know inside our minds that these items will never be 100% perfect, especially in the context that they are made either in mass production facilities or are made by people who get wages 1/10000th of a Swiss watchmaker. A simpler way to explain all of this is, people just simply don't realize "You get what you pay for". Except in this case with replica watches, we get a WAY lot more for paying maybe 5 cents on the dollar then you should with electronic items, etc. but of course we will NEVER get something that is exactly the same as a genuine article. Lesson done.
  6. Of course I'll lend you $2700, with an interest rate of 100% compounded daily.
  7. I want in, but why is there no email? I didn't get a single email on any extra details for this group buy, instructions for payment, etc.
  8. Any update on the Nautilus Jumbo price? I didn't get an email regarding this yet...
  9. Any chance for an Offshore group buy? Is it possible to also help me get a Nautilus Jumbo PR rep? I've been craving these two reps for a VERY long time...
  10. Yes, my firm was downsizing, and I was paid a huge sum of money, but that's not the point, as I easily found another equivalent higher-paying job, but chose to give it up too because of my realization.
  11. That is false. I have friends who are teachers who spent lots of money on education, getting their MBAs, etc. who went back to teaching for a paltry salary. They could have high-paying jobs but choose to go into teaching. This is the same path I'm taking. I had a $300,000 job more than a year ago, as part of an accounting firm, but I decided to give it all up for a PhD, and hoping to go into teaching, for the rewarding experience. Money means nothing to me anymore, as I think I can retire comfortably for the rest of my life with my wealth.
  12. I was looking at the new watchhonpo site and I think I've come across a Titanium 194 here: http://shopping.e-conveni.net/item_info.ht..._id=997468& The watch put on a scale, the weight seems to correspond with it being made of Titanium. In addition, the He valve appears to be properly engraved on this one, not raised like the first version of the 194. In addition, the caseback finally says "Titanium" instead of "Stainless Steel"
  13. My schedule was 60 hours at least every week back when I was a Chartered Accountant, and during tax season, I frequently had 100 hour work weeks too. (I literally had to go in Sunday-Monday 7am-10pm) I was able to get long vacations here and there, otherwise I had very long days in a downtown Toronto office tower. Most people in hte office towers leave at 4 or 5pm, but everyone in my firm left at 7pm almost everyday.
  14. The chrono movement on my Ti just crapped out after a little more than 24 hours
  15. Nice... But it isn't the first Omega In-house AFAIK, it's the new Rattrapante movement that was first in-house.
  16. Whee! The mailman knocked on my door and it came just in time for dinner! Anyways, this Ti Ingenieur Chrono is just ****ing amazing. I am left speechless at the quality and accuracy of this watch. This is lightyears better than the Hublot Big Bang rep. I can confirm that there is AR coating, a blueish tint can be seen on the crystal, and it appears to be on the back side, instead of the front. The finish of the Ti is finer and less grainy than the Ti GST. (Bracelet feels silky smooth like the genuine, while the GST feels like sandpaper). What's even better in that the end link of the clasp appears to be real Ti, at least the colouring matches with the rest of the bracelet. The clasp closes nice and tight, very securely unlike the GST. The engraving on the back is crisp, deep and sharp. I seriously would not be able to tell this thing from genuine if you did a side by side comparison. It really is THAT good. Anyone on the fence about this one, stop thinking and get it. I would call this one the true rep of 2007 (for now)
  17. It's fake all right. The dial printing gives it away. (Schaffhausen printing passed the white surrounding of the date window a smidge)
  18. Thanks for all of your warm compliments and congratulations. Everyone here really does bring a smile to my face everyday.
  19. I must end this thread with the result: I paid $459 and all I got is $418 in return. Not to mention is I had to pay $17 in Paypal fees. I also had to spend $46.01 on returning the watch back. In addition, I've lost another $20 on Paypal's ripoff exchange rates. Overall, I am out more than $100 for a watch that wasn't right in the first place, that was faulty, and I never got a chance to wear it. I can't help but feel I was shafted. I am asking for the other $41 back from the base watch and the promised $20 from the shipping back. It still doesn't change the fact that I will still be out $60 on this. I know it isn't much, but the fact just ticks me off.
  20. This afternoon, I recieved a delivery card from Canada Post, and I was so excited at the thought of recieving the Ti IWC GST I had ordered from Craytonic a week ago. Instead, when I went to pick up the letter, I found out it was not a package, but a simple envelope from the University of Toronto sent by registered mail on Monday. I tore open the envelope in excitement, and lo behold, my life has changed! I have been approved for PhD studies in Management and Economics at the Joseph L. Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto this coming September 2007. I sent my application in early, and I was surprised that I had already recieved an offer, as the application deadline was January 2 I think. Dreams in life do come true if you work hard towards them (that was the motto of my high school "Success through hard work") and that is what I have learned from all this. Now I hope I can join the faculty of the University of Toronto after graduation from the PhD, and slowly work my way up to professor. These were the qualifications I had: - Completed International Baccalaureate Diploma with a score of 42 out of 45 - "A" average in all 4 years of undergraduate studies in Commerce at the University of Toronto - "A-" average in 2 years of MBA study at The University of Western Ontario - 10 years work experience in Finance/Accounting - Chartered Accountant professional designation. - Thorough involvement in the community and volunteer experience
  21. No offense, but this is my biggest pet peeve on RWG as a whole, people thinking that they "saved" X amount of money. This watch isn't even close to the genuine, and can never be. Sure, it's a nice watch for the money (I ordered one btw), but I would never claim I saved X amount of money, because the genuine MR is just that much better. Now, the Franken Daytonas are a different story. End of rant. Carry on
  22. Didn't the Aquatimer rep exist in Ti??
  23. It's a simple solution for me, I go Maradona style with Offshores everyday.
  24. I'm going to snipe the auction. Bring it on boys.
