How can you see? I still see no pictures from Joshua or Andrew... I'm betting it's exactly the same.
-
My sentiments exactly.... That's why I paid so much for this replica. Now I don't have to send it anywhere for mods, I can wear it right out of the package. I have been working for months sending my PAM 029 around for mods, and I'm almost up to $1000 on that watch, making it perfect. I would have gladly paid $1200 if I didn't have to mod it!

The pirce isn't off by that much, you need to add shipping to Josh's prices, and it's about $35 or $40 if I recall.

Glashutte Sport Evo:

I can't stand some of the dents that are on my PAM 029, there's 4 dings (2 are noticeable, and on the sharp edge of the bezel) on the bezel of mine, and there's quite a few dings on the edge of the CG. The caseback is also quite scuffed up, and the lugs have been scratched by careless strap changes. Does anyone here offer a professional refinishing service? I can't use Cape Cod this time, as the bezel is brushed. (Note, this watch is almost perfect, it has a different CG installed, relumed, new cyclops installed and a Palp crown, with datewheel on the way). I also need the movement serviced, as the GMT hand is behvaing weirdly, and there appears to be some dust under the crystal. Best, Admin

Wow, this rep definitely is worth it for the price, look at that work of art case construction! I definitely expected it to visually look perfect, but even the case construction is completely identical. I have never seen a case so complicated (Not even the AP Royal Oak), and it's just amazing how every last detail is correct on this piece. I definitely can't wait for mine to arrive!

I'm in as long as the PVD is genuine and not black paint. But I really would like it to be made in ceramic, I will pay the price for it because of the material. To the above: My wrists are even smaller, this truly is not a watch for small wrists, but try an Offshore and the BB will look smaller to you. I get overhang on my wrist with a 44mm Panerai, and especially the BB and Offshore. This is a huge watch, wears like a 47mm PAM. But, nothing has ever stopped me. My wrist size circumfrence is just 6.3 inches.

Still going to stick with my order for the SS version. I don't like the LE with white dial, and I doubt they made the caseback to the genuine on that one. I am convinced about the dial now, but I just don't like the idea of plated gold and how it will eventually wear. Waiting patiently for the All-Black or the Ceramic bezel version.

I go used all the time. Buying new from a dealer here is way too expensive, and at best you would only get 50% of what you paid back, as taxes are very high here. An Offshore after discount costs almost $20,000 US, while I would pay about $11,000 for a good preowned one. I buy used always also because I can flip them quickly without loss, I can wear them for a little bit, and lose essentially nothing (except shipping) and maybe a small difference in exchange rate. Otherwise, I'm never buying new again, unless it's 2% more than a used one.

Vertu - The Hermes Birkin Of Cell / Mobile Phones
thomasng replied to themuck's topic in The looney bin
The Vertu is way overrated. I used to have one, I recieved as a corporate gift, and it was just like any other cellphone, but with a ridiculous price tag. No camera, what's the use? I'm more happy with my Nokia N93 than the Vertu which costs 10 times more. -
The CF dial by Dubuis is very refined, you see in each square that the lines of carbon fiber are really fine and close together, and they provide a really good 3D effect. That CF just sort of looks fake to me, but since I haven't seen it in person I can't say for sure, but I just have a little hunch it is stamped plastic. The dial just looks a bit unrefined and raw to me. I had a chance to examine the RG/Ceramic bezel version last weekend, and the CF seemed finer and had more depth to me. I have small wrists, and the bezel seems to pick up most of the wear for me, and I would like something that can be repolished or rebrushed, and that you wouldn't have to worry about coming off in years.
-
Awesome... just paid and eagerly awaiting a SS version. I also liked the RG version, but after a while of staring, the dial doesn't look that great, the carbon fiber looks fake in comparison to Roger Dubuis Carbon Fiber dials. I'm also worried about plated gold, as I don't want the plating to wear after a while, and if you get any scratches, you can't really repolish it like the SS.

Meh, GPs have terrible resale value, with incredibly high list prices. I've seen these around for $6K or so in Rose Gold, which is even better.

Never been called out once on a rep, as I used to work in one of the top accounting firms in Canada, and worked with many large corporations, where I met many different executives and CEOs. To be honest, I used to at meetings, make sure the watch peeks out a little bit under the cuff, and since I normally wear large sport watches with suits (AP Offshores), it gets noticed. The Luminous Lange 1 got me the most compliments once from an executive board at Samsung Canada last year. I've been called once on a genuine Rolex GMT II, but it was from some random idiot. I sold it quite quickly after that incident.

Iyho, What's The Most Perfect Replica Available Today.

I vote the Hublot Big Bang. That dial and case look perfect to me. -
I am in for one definitely.

The boxes are really nice, but they become a pain in the ass to store. I store my genuine watches on Orbita winders, which go into my home safe. The boxes are a pain to store, and they can be a pain to find when time comes to sell, that's why I keep the papers in a file cabinet. AP boxes are especially nice, and the LE ones are even better, as they have a medallion at the top reflecting the LE edition (i.e. JPM, Wempe, Polaris).

Too bad, I would have wanted this on the wrist in time for Christmas, as I am off to Brazil and Argentina for a 2 week vacation.

http://www.replicacollector.com/members/in...c=27845&hl= Holy [censored]... This beast is really nice. The date mag is extremely accurate, better than I expected. Wow, I'm in for a few of these when they come out. Good things come to those who wait indeed.

What did you mean when you were referring to the later ultimate rep? Does that mean the one coming out soon won't have AR and such?
