No, WM's is the one without the PR and has stick markers, I just noticed it today. The roman numeral one with PR is my dream come true! Pissing my pants in excitement! I had a genuine one before, but sold it off quite quickly because of the profit opportunity.

Wow...... All the time my holy grail replcia watch has existed! No flaws from what I can see except the datewheel. Dealers, where are you, and why don't you have this rep????????
-
Thank goodness I passed on these. I was fearing the seconds @6, despite having a good record with 2 Dyatonas and 7 or 8 other Asian 7750s.
-
"IWC" logo looks wrong on the rep. It's a dead giveaway to me.
-
That's a horrid design. Dial looks like [censored], looks very imbalanced. The only sports tourbillon IMO are the RM tourbillons, the RD Easy Diver Tourbillons, Blancpain Leman, and the Girard Perregaux Seahawk tourbillons.

Cheap Reps? Yeah right. The chrono hand fell off on my Patek 5960 Chrono a few days ago. A $60,000 watch I wore for the first time, and used the chrono, the hand just falls out.
-
God, what a conincidence. Chrono hand just fell off of my Patek Philippe 5960.

Breguet Reveil de Tsar- $2000 just for dropping on the floor when the deployant clasp failed! (Still at Breguet factory, almost 4 months now) AP Royal Oak Chrono- Servicing and refinish cost more than $1200, took 2 months (fast for AP)

Franken-tudor Chrono..... Check Her Out...whatta Ya Think
thomasng replied to a topic in Watch Repair & Upgrade
Sounds awesome...... But I think the version with the seconds at 9 would work a lot better for you. On the other hand, how do you plan on solving the caseback engraving problem and the bracelet problem? The bracelet has Tudor markings, and is different from the Daytona bracelet AFAIK. What about the cyclops? Are you going to butcher a ormal Rolex rep for the cyclops? Just questions of curiousity, best of luck to you. -
****thoughts On The New Cartier Santos 100 Chrono Reps?****
thomasng replied to tonton2000's topic in General Discussion
It's the wrong size. -
Why the **** is this still going on? (For the record, I didn't even bother with the original post, the SMS speak is just too much for me to digest at one time)

Patek Grand Complication Display Clock At Auction
thomasng replied to NaviChief's topic in General Discussion
It's not really from Patek..... Patek doesn't make clocks like this. People just took generic clocks, and labelled them "Patek Philippe" according to well-known PuristS. -
http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=973 Looks pretty good.......... A major improvement over the last one. Anything wrong with this one?

Do You Ever Sneek A Watch Purchase Past Your S.o.?
thomasng replied to speedy1's topic in General Discussion
Nope, SO doesn't give a crap about what I spend my money on, as it's in my personal Savings account. She's never yelled/threatened to kill me for buying a watch, even genuine ones. -
That DeWitt rep is awful. The genuine is a minute repeater, and this rep only barely resembles that. I'll pass. And btw- DeWitt tourbillons are NOT half a million dollars. They are about $180,000 US list, and with a huge discount, it's more like $110,000.

Here's the funny thing about the EOD. Admin Mao told me that the EOD was very unpopular in 1999 when it first came out, stocks piled up at dealers, and they couldn't even give them away for 40% off! Now look at them, they've skyrocketed almost $30,000 in value! Opportunity also knocked on the door for the NY La Boutique a few months ago. I had the chance to buy it for $22,000 but declined, and they've gone up to more than $35,000!

Well, as I say beauty is in the eye of the beholder in the end. I have not seen the RBII in the metal, and I'm not sure if I will like it. I feel the JPM isn't tacky at all, that's it's just an elaboration of the Offshore case with different screws, different pushers and end links, use of carbon fiber, and the bonus display back. Maybe in the pictures it doesn't look all that great, but holding one in the metal is different. The AP LE's which I truly think are tacky is the Green Montanapoleone, Rodeo Drive, as they are rather uninspired, use the exact same case, the dials have just been changed a tiny bit, and that's called an LE. Yes I would also agree Rubens B I is tacky, but maybe not so on the RB II. Oh well, I think I can make a nice profit if I just simply pick it up, hold it for a few months then resell it. I like the EOD a lot, but the price for that has gone crazy, and I wouldn't pay $40K for it. The New York La Boutique PVD RO Chrono is the best RO LE in my opinion, but the prices on that have gone crazy too unfortunately.
-
RBII is a killer but also a killer for your pocketbook. You'll end up paying more than double the price of a normal discounted BNIB Themes Offshore! I've been told I can expect delivery of mine in the new year from the Hong Kong boutique.
-
Nothing wrong, I am not singling Jay-Z out specifically. I guess I just don't like people being given their own "LEs" and such, and yes that includes JPM, RB, Schwarzenegger, etc. I just feel that AP should have gone the route of the other two in the "Big Three" (PP, VC) and not have issue LEs in people's names. However, I still like the styling of the RB II and the JPM Offshore, and that's why I have a JPM and a RBII on order.
-
As an AP conoisseur, I sort of detest the connection between Jay-Z and AP, but I admire the man for his taste, instead of getting into gaudy Jacob and Co. watches. As for the Jay-Z LE Offshore, I kinda like it, the diamonds 10 is a little subtle bling to an already fine watch.

Talk about necroposting...........
-
When it first came out, I commented it looked like a cheap $20 Patek rep. It still does.
-
That has happened in Macao from what I know. Few incidents of people's hands being chopped off for Rolexes.

Wearing good watches in Europe is fine IMO, Sweden should be safe. Just keep them out of some neghbourhoods of Paris, London, etc. In general, don't wear nice watches when in places like Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, etc., etc. However, flaunting your wealth is perfectly all right in places like Singapore, Japan and most of Hong Kong, just don't get stuck in Mong Kok with a genuine watch! A lot of this stuff is pretty much a no-brainer. Just think, you're in a country where the gen value of the watch equals 5 years salary. Of course, you'll be a target of robbers, if you want to pass it off as real. In Toronto, I don't wear a watch to begin with, in some areas of downtown (Yonge from Wellesley to Dundas), and anything east of that.
-
Listen to me. DO NOT WEAR ANYTHING that looks really close to a genuine. You do not want criminals mistaking them for genuines. People are accustomed to seeing the POS fake tourbillon watches around, or Luminor Urinas, and that's pretty much it. If you don't mind getting mugged, that's not the point,. These people are ruthless, they may hurt/kill you even before you have a chance to hand everything over. Just wear a cheap Seiko or a Timex. There, done. I wear a Seiko diver when I make my trip to China. If you are planning to go to Hong Kong, please do not wear replica watches either. HK is a city that is full of WIS, and you're waiting for someone to call you out sooner or later.
