  1. I wear either one of these two the most often during formal events, because of its understated elegance with a modern twist. Sometimes I just slip on an Offshore under a suit, and you should see the looks that gets. Happy New Years.
  2. http://perfect-clones.com/1335-p-2365.html Josh is officially first to have it!!!!!!! But, the watch to me falls way below expectations. First, the datewheel colour is completely wrong. Second, the buckle's lettering should not be coloured black! Thirdly, the crown doesn't look very sharp and well finished. And finally, it's using an Asian 21J movement! Otherwise, date mag is qute good, and the dial looks promising too. This piece will be a lot lighter on our wallets than if it used an Asian 7750, that's for sure.
  3. And of course, he's made good on essentially all BB orders. (Mine is still stuck at bloody Canada Customs!)
  4. Wow... This is probably the first time I've heard someone from Canada say this. And to think, my parents were just telling me about how the U.S. government just responded to their application for an immigrant visa a few weeks ago, after we immigrated to Canada for 11 years!!!!!!!! How fortunate and lucky we were to get to Canada right away, I was able to start university, then go a long way to pursue a Chartered Accountant professional designation and then an MBA. I believe that only such opportunity would come in Canada.
  5. Excellent review... Thanks I also love Lacoste shirts to death and have quite a few of them myself, but I really do think the genuine article is worth it. I would never wear a fake around the golf club or during social events, but maybe I should pick up one or two of these for extra wear. Fake clothing just has a certain thing to it I can't get over. I paid about $10 dollars a pair for fake D&G and Diesel jeans, and pretty much all the buttons on them fell off within a few months of infrequent wear, rendering them pretty much useless. Meanwhile, a pair of genuine Diesel jeans I've had for 3+ years still has plenty of life left, and I paid about $150 for them. So maybe, the genuine article is worth it in this case, as the fake ones lasted only a few times. (I hate to admit, but I have a huge closet full of expensive clothing, everything from D&G, dsquared, Diesel shirts and jeans, to Gucci suits and $150 sports jerseys).
  6. But it kills you even more when the chrono hand on a $50,000+ Patek Philippe 5960 Chrono falls off a week after you bought it, and you hate it even more when it has to be sent to Switzerland for months!
  7. Nope, Canada Customs doesn't care about fake watches. They only care about taxing your ass off on genuines, in the range of 20%+
  8. @omni Thanks for the quick review. I'm quite excited about this watch now. However, didn't Angus post that the improvements to the crystal, engraving on the lugs would be made? How much is the crystal sitting above the bezel? He said it would be 0.5mm, so as long as it isn't completely flush... And by the way, the engraving on the lugs is not a problem. The genuine SS one at my AD doesn't have it, while some I've seen on the internet have it. There's a lot of manufacturing inconsistencies with the BB. There's different colour datewheels, different placement of serial numbers, different engravings, etc.
  9. Fine. I kindly request you move this debate to another thread so that the original purpose of warning people about a fake Offshore can be conducted. This philosophical debate is quite interesting nonetheless.
  10. Can you move this fight to another thread? This is a very serious issue, and somebody must do something to stop this auction before somebody gets screwed over big time. 11. There is absolutely no freakign way he doesn't know this is fake. He seems to intentionally snap pictures head on when the 9 o'clock subdial is a "30", but in the angled ones, you clearly see the running seconds. This guy is a fraud and cheat.
  12. Yes we are. I am so confident that I would give you my genuine piece if this was not a rep.
  13. This was discussed to death. Silver hands are accurate and were confirmed by the Hublot CEO I think.
  14. I was wondering, which universities/colleges did people here graduate from? Me: University of Toronto St. George (Joseph L. Rotman School of Management)- Bachelor of Commerce University of Western Ontario- Richard Ivey School of Business- Executive MBA
  15. HOLY ****... That Lange is nice!!!!!!!!!!! Then honestly, he should have been wise enough to open the back, or he should have been able to tell just from the fit and finish. (A genuine AP Offshore is like no other in details).
  16. I am so confident this is a fake that I would give away my genuine Offshore if the pictures did not show a fake. I think the seller probably was duped by someone who traded the watch in, because everything else he is selling is 100% legitimate.
  17. Andrew, would you mind posting a few of your own pictures of the HBB? Or at least sending me the link to them? I am very interested if there is a difference between the one Angus is selling. (According to someone, there is, but I highly doubt it).
  18. I stand corrected. But I wonder how the AP Offshore rep he had ended up on eBay so quickly.
  19. I don't know, George quoted me a price a week ago, and I'm pondering whether to pony out the 450 euro for this piece. But I'm not sure if he's actually selling yet. That's why I suspect George may be linked to the sale of this watch. (Note that he's in Germany too).
  20. It is fake for these reasons: - Dial does not match case (Themes dial does not belong to D-series Offshores) - Caseback numbers matches the pics george posted a few weeks ago - Datefont is incorrect - Hands are too thin and greenish - Numbers are missing metal surrounds - 12 o'clock marker is not big enough - "Swiss Made" font is not big enough - Subdial spacing is off, 12 o'clock subdial should be closer to the centre.
  21. http://cgi.ebay.de/AUDEMARS-PIGUET-ROYAL-O...mdZViewItem#top Please don't tell me George traded this thing in as genuine. It is a fake.
  22. The funny thing is, the genuine Hublot BB HAS a sunken datewheel. A 7753 would actually create a new flaw on this watch.
  23. I see this thread going downhill very quickly.........
  24. Or maybe you're thinking about this one: http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...products_id=989 A cheap, old, inaccurate Asian day-date replica.
  25. Just post the darn pics and we can end this dispute between everyone.
