I would never put one of these on my wrist, even gen, sorry, but I think they are fugly in the extreme
-
I have never been too fussed about the lume glow etc.... but if it is applied in such a sloppy manner, it's just a no go for me. In fact that messy lume is quite hard to correct in some instances. I just think a watch should be good to go from the start, and so few actually are..... It is one of the reasons I was so chuffed about the porsche chrono
-
Can you pick up gen dials for this watch? The hour marker lume has been poor on all of the pictures I have seen, it would bug the hell out of me.... Does the bezel still throw white dust into the watch like the other version? Looks better on a SS bracelet though

My Porsche watch I put on my wrist and nothing more needs to be done, it's perfect. Have a peak over here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=65916&hl= If you have to relume an realign bezels etc..... when you buy a watch, that tells me it has poor QC. You say the dealer selected yours as one of the better ones? I am going to be a lot more picky when it comes to buying watches. The Porsche watch has set a new standard for me, not many watches will match it I think. Cheers

They certainly make some sweet stuff, the designs are always unique and stylish, at least to my eyes anyway -
The QC looks really bad on this piece, I am glad I steered clear of it and went for the Porsche chrono instead, best decision I have made in a while

It's a watch that certainly has lots of cool features, one of a kind. Do you know what factory produces it? I would love to know what other watches they are working on, as you say, it has a well above average finish in all areas -

No news on that score, but I may source a bracelet if they do replicate it. They might not bother to though, some bracelet are tricky to recreate........... -
HD-DVD players are cheap because it is sell through stock time for most retailers. How many buyers working for large electrical retailers would place volume orderes for HD-DVD drives when the tech looks doomed? Get rid of the stock as fast as you can, that goes for Toshiba too, they must see that the writing is on the wall......

I flicked through the day/date wheel to check them out, and they were all centered, bang on the money. The print is bold and clear, it is a really neat part of the watch and as far as I know, it is the first rep I have seen where they have done this. I am trying to find some fault with the watch, but I just can't. I really don't think I have had such a satisfactory purchase before. There is nothing that needs updating, or changing, like with some of the other reps out there, brilliant I have not seen an Aquatimer in person, but I have seen the other original IWC version and the QC is nowhere near the same standard. The Aquatimer lume application also springs to mind, messy in most cases. There are no such issues with this watch........... -

Took a risk and cut another strip out of the rubber strap................ The watch now hugs my wrist perfectly! I should add that the quality construction of this rep is outstanding The clasp is very well finished too, as is every part of the watch. The more I look at it, the more I realize this to be true..... -

I was contemplating the two other dial colours, but in the end the silver subdial colour the "black" version has swung it for me, I think it matches the silver numeral and hour markers better, giving the watch a better dial composition. Thats only my opinion though -

About 6.5", fits very well too and does not look to large due to the lack of conventional lugs on the watch. I have left the rubber strap maybe one notch larger than it should be, but it still fits and sits well. If I cut it down one more size and it then grips my wrist too tight there would be no going back........ -

Thanks man. You will not be disapointed, it is one of the best replicas I have ever purchased. It seems to be overlooked on these rep boards though for some reason. Maybe its brand does not carry the same weight as others? Now its found my wrist, it will be difficult to put something else on! -
Just received a delivery from Perfect-Clones and I have to say thank you very much Joshua! I ordered a black dial Porsche Design Flat 6 Chrono and what a sweet watch it is! One of the best "out of the box" experience I have ever had purchasing a replica. I looked it over for faults or blemishes etc.... and found none! Perfect....... The dial is actually more of a gun metal black, rather than a deep black. I really like it! The date font looks great and lines up really well. The movement is a fully decorated Asian 7750, with engraved rotor. Double AR is present, but a very subtle light blue, not a deep blue like the Evo or SFSO. The dial does "pop" out at you though, overall I think th AR is very good and from what I hear close to the gen. EDIT: Closer inspection reveals single sided AR...... Adjusting the bracelet is a bit tricky, you have to cut the rubber strap to fit your wrist. Scary stuff indeed if you screw it up, but I just went with the less is more approach, thinking that if I cut too little off, it's better than cutting too much! It is very comfortable on the wrist and quite unlike any other watch I own, I am very glad I decided to add it to my collection. Here are some pictures! Cheers!

What a fugly watch, how can you read the date?

dealers getting angry at customers?
Mickey Padge replied to arminvanbuuren's topic in General Discussion
This thread serve no real purpose to the community unless we know the dealer If what you say is true, then I would like to steer clear of them too....... Is that not what we are here for? To help each other out in this potential minefield of rep buying? Cheers! -
Yeah I get you It is all about $$$. People still buy the watches with the poor DW, so it is not worth it for them to change anything.....
-
Thanks for the info lanikai I still don't understand why they can't fix the DW font, it must be such an easy thing to reproduce the ETA font, I have to wonder why they don't? Oh well........
-
Attention rep makers! We want this watch!
Mickey Padge replied to milsub5517's topic in The Panerai Area
I like this watch too! I do however already own this............. Cheers! -
Looks bloody fantastic, keep it on, I would! Sweet watch EDIT: Get it sent for double AR coating ASAP
-
I think the gen uses an ETA DW. Does the rep DW have the little tick on the top of all the "1"s, or only on the date "1" and "11"? it is common for rep DW's to have all the "1"s ticked at the top, when the ETA versions do not.... Cheers!
-
Are there any opther replicas that use that day/date window set up? I really like that style As for this replica, they should dump that silly case back and they might actually sell a few....
-
Great stuff! Thanks for the pictures How about the date font? The black/white date wheels, do they differ? How are the "1"s? Are they still using the same poor Asian date wheels, with bad font? Cheers!
