Great info indeed
I would be hesitant in opening up the watch though because if it is new you need to give it a settle in period. The method I mentioned was told to me by a well know dealer and it did help me regulate my watch.
If after you have tried to regulate the watch after a few days and if you have no luck then open up the watch and go for it
Have you found the best position to rest the watch when you are not wearing it? If you find a position that speeds the watch up at night it will correct itself each night.
EG: face up/down or crown up/down
I have to do the same with my Asian 7750. Also If you find the position that makes it run fast and keep it like that for a few days by winding the watch it may help speed the watch up a bit, especially if the watch is new.
Cheers
Does the hair dryer trick work? I have heard that gently heating the bezel will loosen the glue and allow for the bezel to be turned to the correct position.
My fault anyway as my post came across as if this was the finished article. As Oliver mentions he has only just started
I think the hour markers should show a little texture etc..... If it was smooth it would not be realistic.
So it begins!
Oliver has kindly sent me a couple of pictures to show me how he is aging the dial. Starting with the hour markers.
Here they are:
Oliver compared my dial to a genuine 5512 and then tried to emulate it as best he could. I think he did a fantastic job!
What do you guys think?
Cheers
I have seen many people wearing modern subs, be they real or fake. I can't recall ever seeing a vintage sub on anyone, for that reason alone I would keep it
Yep you can see the screws here on Rivers pictures:

I would not call it a major flaw. A major flaw for me would be something incorrect on the dial or watch case etc...
I can live with it having screws instead of pins, after all its $239 delivered
He has it listed in his dealer section, last time I looked it said $239 inc delivery.
This is going to be my next purchase I feel
The Tag chrono I got from river was fantastic, he is one of the best dealers we have here for sure
Cheers!
Thanks ubiquitous, I have PM'ed them both
The more I look at the watch, the more I like it It is definitely the best replica I have purchased. With the mods done and a little clean, it would be fantastic to say the least
I really hope they can help
