  1. I have received some PM's, not unsurprising But nobody has posted! Do you guys not like it?
  2. You could send a polite PM to a mod asking for help, it seems that standard members are unable to edit there posts then.....
  3. If you click edit on your first post, then choose full edit you may be able to edit the title, I do not know if that is restricted to certain member levels
  4. Very good point, this issue is resolved, even though Tony has not actually received any watch back from the buyer
  5. Indeed, nothing good comes from posting something that has a value of $400+, without any means to know where it's going to end up, if it's got there (wherever that may be), or who has it now!
  6. Tony is a good guy, never heard anything bad about him, at least no more or less than any other dealer, supported or otherwise It seems only other dealers have bad things to say about him, no surprise there really Language can be a problem for sure, it can be tricky to read what people are trying to get at sometimes, or even what point they are making, if any. I remember a few deals I had with Kingwatch a while back, very difficult to communicate, but we got there in the end and the right watches always arrived!
  7. Here is an update, not a gen strap, but a high quality aftermarket gen croc leather strap, built to OEM specs, on a rep deployant Click to expand! For those of you interested, I purchased the strap from this seller: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/tango252 It really transforms the watch, much better quality and feel than the steel bracelet, more comfortable too..... Cheers!
  8. Here is my old school, titanium Breitling Seawolf. A rare bird now, as it has not been replicated to this quality for a few years. I have it on a genuine Breitling leather strap, but do also wear it on the ti bracelet, unlike most of my steel bracelet watches, it is so light! This one I had Domi look at (thanks Domi!), and now it uses an ETA 2836 movement with the better Breitling style date font, not stock ETA.... Pictures, click to expand! As you can see the crystal has been double AR coated too, not sure who's process it was, but it is very durable and effective! Plus you have just got to love that bezel, the open 4 and crisp clean engravings, nice pearl shape too, sweet! It really is a stunning watch, I really wish the rep factories would re-visit it, and re-create it to this high standard, unfortunately the current ti Seawolf pales in comparison The only problem is that it struggles to find my wrist, mainly because of my genuine Breitling Steelfish! I was toying with the idea of putting it up for trade for some other rare bird or modified piece, and I am hoping you guys can talk me out of it! Comments and observations welcome!
  9. I said as much earlier myself too! Well said mbjoer, I totally agree
  10. Wow some pretty harsh and over the top comments I see, quite horrible in fact..... When I said this, was it not clear enough? My views are clear, and have been concisely put, without resorting to any nasty, over long word play and veiled insults. You may not like my views, but why be so aggressive and out right hostile toward me, what have I said directly and personally towards you? I can only assume it makes you feel better to post comments like that towards me..... You can dictate the terms of what you think this is about all you want, it does not change anything. You support the big guys, the Goliath twins if you like, me on the other hand, always opt for the little guy, the underdog, maybe that is my Britishness shining through Also it seems this is not my home? Why would that be? 3600+ posts and a 3 and a half year stay seems like a home to me I am really glad to see that Tony came through for you fitipaldi! As for some of the more nasty comments, just re-read the thread, see if I deserved any of that......
  11. I fail to see anyone dictating to other members in this thread, or any "clueless" rebels, just open and honest views Tony does take pictures of his watches, the exact watch you order from him in fact, so you see what you are buying first, you just have to ask him. Better than drop shipping that's for sure!
  12. That pretty much describes fixing the market price to a tee Like the new AP Survivor costing nearly $700 delivered.....
  13. It is a long story, they are at the heart of it though, yes They keep prices high, and try to squeeze out the little guys by any means necessary, contrary to some peoples opinions, they are not saints They are not on the other large rep forum for a reason....
  14. Even if it were happening to me, it would still not be life and death, would it? The real issue here is effecting the Twins (who by the way both use the same photos ), and I am sure they are not overly effected by such a small dealer like Tony. If they were would I really care? You know the answer there..... As for being self centered, care to elaborate? I am struggling to read between the line on that one..... I think you may be holding a torch that was never really lit, or at least the batteries have now run out!
  15. Please Lani, don't make me laugh It's just watches after all, fake ones at that. Very nice yes, but not life and death
  16. Should Tony do it? No, is it right? no, does it effect the people that by from him in any way shape or form? No..... I am not here to protect forum dealers, let them fend for themselves, if Tony was a scam merchant, bait and switching and price gouging it would be a different matter, but he doesn't, he offers great service, with very good prices and fantastic special offers At the end of the day this isn't wall mart, and copyright and intellectual property rights don't come into play at all. Like I said, the dealers are looking out for themselves and their own interests, not ours. The artificially high priced Asian clone debacle is proof of this, they all price it high, and make large amount of $$$ from us because of it..... We are here to look out for out our fellow members, and protect them and inform them of the good and bad deals and share info, yes some of the dealers are part of the community too, but they are well and truly on the other side of the fence..... Cheers!
  17. No offence taken Jackster, I just think it's funny to complain about stealing photos when you are talking about counterfeit watches The twins should follow Tony's lead, lower prices and special offer watches, that Ayrton Senna 1st factory HBB was a steel for $168, I should have purchased one, but had no spare cash at the time.....
  18. Let the dealers sling crap at each other, personally I don't care what they do amongst themselves, unless they start fixing the prices high and.... Oh wait, too late!
  19. Nope, it is not price point, although that is obviously a part of it, Tony's customer service has always been first class, better than the twins ever were to me...... Also Tony sends pictures of the actual watch you are buying before delivery, the twins never did that for me. That kind of proves he has the watch, no? As for you questioning my character, yes, an internet replica watch forum is definitely the best way of making that kind of judgement about someone you have never met or even talked to in your whole life!
