  1. Thanks nikki6! Indeed, I have liked the look of this watch for a while, and when the exact model I wanted came up for sale in the UK, I had to buy it! Cheers!
  2. AR is nice, the gen pictures I have seen all have a blue tint too See here:
  3. Updated rotor and updated 7750 with regulator too, looks nice and accurate through the display back
  4. I don't like the bracelet, but that is no fault of the Tag rep, I think Tag bracelets feel cheap and nasty, genuine or not..... That is why I have a nice genuine Tag leather strap and deployant on the way
  5. Just picked this beauty up from vikkyrob (thanks!), had to do it, even though I have just totally thinned down my collection, I just love white dial watches The watch is excellent, pretty much spotless and mark free, there was just a tiny spot on the hour hand, but I cleaned it off with rodico, so it really is perfect now Here are some pictures, click to expand! A fine looking watch, and this is the version with a regulator too, sweet! I managed to snag a gen Tag black croc strap and deployant too, so that should be here soon, I will update with some more pictures when it arrives..... Cheers!
  6. Right back at you! I see you have larger wrists than me, so that larger size APBands strap should be perfect for you
  7. The only thing that is bugging me about the DSN CG is the pin position, the pin sits in the center, whereas it should be higher, however there is no point getting a new CG with a better pin placement if other areas of quality and finish is sacrificed So I will leave it as is, no need for me to fuss over it..... Cheers!
  8. I am not overly bothered that it doesn't fit, the nembo CG's finish is rough around the edges when compared to DSN CG, and where the shape has been re-worked, it's not so consistent, so I will stick with the DSN one..... Cheers!
  9. I got mine straight from nembo on Repgeeks, there is no way it will fit my 027a, half a hole is too much of an alignment discrepancy!
  10. Thanks for the info, but the holes are too far off, only one half of the hole lines up, that is too much to modify....
  11. Not sure, but I think I will call it a day, it looks good enough to me
  12. Looking good peepshow! Bad news on the nembo crown, the holes do not line up to the DSN case, so it's a no go...... Cheers!
  13. Yeah, TomH's section has been missing for a while for some reason? His repairs may take a while sometimes, but the quality is top notch, I have taken advantage of his excellent services quite a few times It is an asset to the board to have as many repair/mod options as possible, especially trustworthy, long standing rep scene members like TomH
  14. Thanks Slartibartfast As mentioned, I have just sold a lot of my reps, mixed feelings, but it needed to be done, they were not getting worn.....
  15. Exactly krpster, plus you know that the little beauty on your wrist is gen It seems reps are good for the gen markets in some ways, my rep collecting led me to this watch after all, I would never have purchased otherwise
  16. Indeed, in fact I will probably sell some of my other rep watches now
  17. I am going to mod it slightly The pin position is correct, and the DSN CG is not that great.....
  18. Thanks peepshow, I look forward to seeing them! I have a nembo crown guard on the way too, so I will update my findings soon
  19. I am, I can't stop looking at the damn thing! Here are some pictures of the replica, from a watch I sold a while ago The rep dial is off white, not cream, also the dial print is not fine enough, nor glossy finish, with the S in SuperOcean not have the curvy tail. The rehaut numeral are not bold enough either. Although this particular rep has decent lume, most are messy compared to this, and certainly very messy when compared to the gem The 6, 9 and 12 are very flat on the gen, as are the hour numerals, whereas the rep version bulges out from the dial more...... The rep is very well made, the case and crystal are spot on, aside from maybe the pearl and bezel engravings, but the dial is the biggest let down, and the reason why I had to get the gen
  20. Yeah, I had the replica, with the same dial version, but it was not the right colour, the gen is obviously cream, not just off white like the rep. Then you have the super, super fine gloss dial print of the gen, and the different bolder font of the rehaut numerals, add that to the perfect lume and you have a winner The SFSO reps are nice, with the case and crystal being exceptionally well made and accurate, but the dial let's the whole package down for me, so I knew I would only be happy with the gen of this watch
  21. I have always wanted a genuine Breitling, and the Steelfish was the main focus of my attention, in particular the light cream dial worn on a brown leather strap. When I found that I could purchase one from swisswatchesdirect over a ten month payment plan, the pull for me to purchase one was too much to resist! A week after purchase, a brand new boxed steelfish arrived at my door, all in perfect order, with all papers and warranty card! I am stoked, nothing beats the pure quality of a genuine watch! Anyway, enough chit chat, here are a bunch of wrist shots, no pictures of the box etc, that's just not me The watch has exceeded my expectations, the only other watch that has a look in for my wrist time is my WM9 Yachtmaster, if anything this genuine SFSO has made me appreciate what a stunning replica that is. Also watches like the rep Seawolf are also stunning and so well made, our rep hobby has come a long way! Comments and observations welcome!
