  1. I never understood the extra small watch, what is it for? It must only be wearable for larger wrists too
  2. Maybe buy some off white enamel paint (+ others to mix), and then apply a tough clearcote varnish afterwards when the paint is 100% dry? It won't glow, but it should look OK if done right. Just remember to build up thin layers over a period of time, coat after coat. Rather than splodge it all on in one go, patience is key
  3. Use another dealer, the twins drop ship, common knowledge, but it is always denied Pick a smaller dealer, who will take time with your order and even send you pictures of the actual watch before delivery, probably be cheaper too.....
  4. Fantastic work from Domi as always!
  5. Looking good! Just needs a HKTAN strap
  6. If you prefer larger watches then this Tag fits the bill! I find myself wearing it a great deal, and considering the company it keeps in my watch box, that is no mean feat!
  7. The crystal on the Tag is larger than my PAM 027a, but they share the same wrist presence for sure
  8. I saw that, the sale didn't last too long I think? Probably a couple of hundred bucks under where it should have been priced!
  9. Nice shot! These are so close to gen, a guy who shops where I work was wearing one, and let me have a good look at it. our reps really do come close, only the AR'ed date mag standing out on his watch..... Cheers!
  10. Yes, both rarely come up for sale any more, the peeps that have found them value them to much
  11. Toothpastes are a very weak abrasive, some more so than others. Now your watch is minty fresh too!
  12. I agree with you about prices in general, $350+ seems to be the starting price point now, even for stock Asian 7750 based watches, then add $40+ for delivery. Then you have the Asian secs@12 AP Survivor touching nearly $700 delivered (secs@9 is $450+), a watch that is regarded as needing a full service and graphite treatment when purchased, so add another $150+! The biggest rip off is that the Asian clone watches are no longer a "value" option either, as they cost about the same, or more in some cases as the true Swiss ETA versions do, all because of some fake parts on the movement that tend to fall off and break anyway Remember the days of $250+ for a stock Asian 7750 based watch? At least the V2 Skyland is still available at that price point, and it is a stellar rep too!
  13. Thanks guys! I will try again to find a gen dial, I also wonder if the steel Seawolf's crystal will fit, then it would be just the 300M flaw on the caseback left as a tell.....
  14. Sweet looking watch indeed! Regarding the movement retainer screws, they can be a real pain, do you use rodico putty to pick up the little parts and move them into place, then press them in gently with the small screw driver? I have found that to be a great time saver when fiddling with such small bits & pieces.... Cheers!
  15. Sounds like a plan! If you need parts I would suggest you contact your local dealer, maybe Sead? Or Tony can get pretty much any parts, at least he has for me! I look forward to seeing some results, and thanks for the heads up via PM too
  16. Well I got the general response I thought I would, which was, DON'T SELL! Probably right too, but I have an itch for the genuine, and I really can't afford one, every time I wear this rep the temptation gets stronger! With my rep SFSO I had the same issue and that lead to a genuine purchase! Hey is that yours CA dial? If it is a really look forward to seeing it installed, the CA with a gen dial is so close to gen, especially with a Breitling date font too! I will keep an eye out for your future posts on the matter
  17. Ah thanks guys, I was wondering where everybody was! I think you guys are probably right about not selling, it would be tricky to say the least to replace this, unless I found a gen maybe, but they are pricey too, as Breitling don't make them any more either.... Maybe the only thing that would tempt me would be a Breitling titanium chrono Avenger? They are pretty sweet too, and HackR's fantasy pictures were amazing. Cool how the Skyland dial just dropped in like that, fantastic results too! Although if I had one I would be searching for a genuine dial each and every day!
  18. Well the new AP Survivor has just been released, the older secs@9 version was $430+ and true PVD coated titanium, and then the new secs@12 version was priced at nearly $700 shipped! Bearing that in mind, I would start saving your pennies!
  19. You mean it will be made out of titanium, instead of steel? That would be nice, maybe after Chinese New Year?
