Yepp, Freddy,
I think there is a market for a DW Vintage daytona with full working Chronos and tricompax function..
Is it a 7760 or a 7750 with killed automatic winding ?
I think 800$ is not a bad price for this when there are some gen parts on the watch...
It's a hancrafted time peace with a lot of work on it,so the prictag is it worth....
Only my opinion
Take a knife to pop off the Bezel,
but protect the guards with something...
The Bezel must shaped out with a lathe to accept a gen Insert....
After that it snaps in like Gen
I have done it on my MBW 16610 Franken....
Hard job but it works
hope this helps
watcher stated that the Bezel Assembly is not like gen...
It's like on the most Rolex reps.....
Can anybody who has the new SD post some Pics of the Bezel assembly?
It's interesting for a lot of member i think
as Freddy stated,
Take the case with working HE Valve,ETA 2846,the hollow Midlink Bracelet, take some gen parts and buil a damm nice 1665
Take the other parts build up the watch and sell it....
Man,
i can't understand why people buy these crappy Vintage Rolexes,
after some Dealers around who selling MBW's for a good price range...
I Think you don't find a replacement glass for your watch....
And when you find one you must glue it
Buy a MBW/MBK and you have the best you can get....
Nice ones Freddy
Interesting that you put a Eta 7750 in a DW case without the rotor....
I'm suprised that this works with asymetric pushers...
Great work my friend.....
Ok,
thanks watcher....
Good to know that a gen SD Insert will fit and the Crystal is smaller than on a Sub....
This is how a SD must be....
By the way can you please post a Pic of the Bezel Assembly?
Fantastic
OK,
after this Pics i will order one....
It looks damm good, even better than on the factory Pics....
This is where i'm waiting for a long time...
Is this a gen SD Insert or from a Sub?
Because the gen SD Insert is slightly smaller than the Sub one...
Thanks for the Pics watcher....
You are right about this....
It's an issue on all newer MBW/MB Subs....
The date wheel is bad printet and on 27 is a huge gap....
Also the datemag is too high it's about 3x
You need a better datewhell, maybe a one from cubicworks....
It#s printed like the gen one also the numbers are smaller that can fix the datemag issue..
Dam, CG's trimming is the easier way
I want to see the bezel height clearly...On the Pics from Repgeek it loos damm good, better than on the factory pictures...
I think i must order one.....
I want to measure the bezel dimensions, maybe a gen SD Insert wil fit.....
Also the crystal must be smaller than on the Sub Reps
Hi Frank,
looks fantastic i think..
You did a great job on this GMT
You can find good Tubes and Crowns easily on the Bay....
keep us updated on this project....
For the Lugholes, it's really an adventure when there are no holes in the case...
You can only drill from the outside, but this is a damm hard job....
Maybe a good Factory drilling machine and HSSE Cobalt drills will work....
