  1. Lots of generic ones on ebay. Search like clasp breitling 20mm or something...
  2. I'm sure you're referring to the SOH There are a couple of threads talking about this, just do a quick search. Anyway, my understanding is it does not matter where the date window is. Technically, it really doesn't depend on the mvmt or date wheel. More an asthetic design for the dial. However, if you are swapping an ETA to replace an asian clone, the date wheels are different. But, that is resolved cos it comes with the movement normally. Otherwise, not an issue.
  3. Of course Zig could tell the diff.. he prob does it eyes closed and just be listening Its my belief that ETA mvmts are supplied w/o rotors or generic rotors and the factories just plug on an engraved one or whichever suits the watch... Though the photo is grainy, its the inside engraving of the 2842-2 and DM and ETA logo as well as the shock protection clasps that have me believe this is GEN. We need a surgeon here! Experts where are you?
  4. By the way.. have you seen the movement pics? It looks swiss eta to me. Anyone else can verify?
  5. Thanks my friend. I will be more cautious with this model in this case.. luckily i got a 100% money back guarantee from patinga.. My dealer provides swiss eta for USD30 more if i recall, then again... how can we ever be sure until we receive the watch. Guess its really down to trust and dealer ethics. Guess for those who drop ship, their hands are tied as well.
  6. hmm... what makes you say that? I just bought one off Patinga and he certifies its ETA. My dealer also sells SOH V2 on swiss eta.
  7. I've found tons of parts and dials for the SA but strangely.. none for the skyland or the SOH.. A gen dial for the skyland would be Sweet!
  8. What a dirty little post... With all your censored bits, i'm hazarding a wild guess you mean the chrono reset pusher button? If its as simple as a push in and replace operation, you can try sourcing it from one of your regular dealers or bug someone who has a nice regular dealer to get that part for yer. Top and bottom button is the same i believe. Are you referring to this?
  9. Everything looks like it should be where it is... If there is still the rattling sound or clicking sound, Although its running fine, i'd recommend not to wear your watch till you drop it off at the smith. You might be unknowingly wearing out some delicate (they all are!) part by keeping the movement going..
  10. Truly an expert in the Sub field watcher! Shall keep my eyes peeled for a V2 WM9... I'm more for a watch that can be modded/shaved etc to look more gen like than 1 that is unmoddable cos its been cut too deep..
  11. Looks swiss ETA to me, can't see the jewel but there is a DM after the 2482-2. would be a good idea to sweep the rotor 180 and provide a photo as well of the other side of the mvmt.
  12. Just heard from my dealer the factories do not intend to make a Quartz version, which of course is what the Gen uses. Reason is Sinn Ux is not as popular as they anticipated.
  13. I had the GMT IIc rep, bought and sold within a month... couldn't take the cyclops over-mag problem as well as the ICHS although the watch ran like a charm on 2836-2. For me its the ceramic bezel and the oh so Rolex green needle. The pepsi is such a classic... I'll prob end up with BK's transformer one day as well
  14. OMG were you standing in a light tent? That's a tack sharp crisp wrist shot of a beauty... I just handled the gen SOH at the AD and MAN... its quite the beauty at 46mm.. too screaming loud like the SA but it just commands presence in a subtle way... Can't wait to see mine, hopefully on the way o'er..
  15. I get what you saying... To have an ugly gap is really quite an eyesore. I just had a feel of the gen... Its a watch that's growing on me... but i'm still taken by the ceramic bezel of the GMT IIc... sigh, if only there was a WM9 version on sale already...
  16. Its already in the planning i hear, after taking apart a GEN SiNN UX, its been discovered the oil is sealed on the dial side by soldering the insides. The oil is released via means of a plug. I'm not involved in this project but will try to get more info and updates as they move along.
  17. I've read all of urs and tribals detailed review of the subs V2 n V3. Just a little torn btw getting a V3, gen insert wif pearl mod or wait around for a V2 for more modding options. Is the V3 really that inaccurate at the crown? Any current owners to comment?
  18. Sweet looking sub BT. So in ur opinion is a v3 that BK is offering now a step back when compared to the V2?
  19. Hey folks.. Thot i'd share a recent (like 5 minutes ago) upgrade to my Chopard...Best shown with pics i'd always say Pics are taken with my iphone so exposure cannot be adjusted, exposure to light about 10s. Original Rep Original Lume - notice the very faint 12 and 6 In the thick of action Lume work - 1st round Back in the case Lume work - Final Hope you have enjoyed... Time to zzz
  20. I just banged my U2 glass first into a rusty railing and my heart almost stopped beating... came home and looked under my loupe.. not a single hairline scratch on the glass... I knew the Sub steel was rock solid, didn't know the glass rawked as well!
  21. My mistake.. was another ebay ad going for about USD60+ for a Sinn bezel but the sand blasted finish was gone. meaning the SDR... So didn't think it'll be worth it.
  22. Finally sold my gen rubber at a huge loss :( never even worn it.. sigh
