  1. Also, maybe someone can confirm but looks like the wrong font for the 0(zero) on the bezel, Gen uses fatter, rounder zeroes.
  2. Looks like a spot of glue under the 12 marker will easily correct the flaw.. also gives u a chance to post mvmt pics for us!
  3. I dunno what i'm cheering for but WOOHOO MAx! Rawking ass you have!
  4. You mean you guys dunno they charter jets for important deliveries.. ?
  5. He just PMed me yesterday. But he did mention he'll take a few days to sort stuff out.. So yeh, he's around
  6. Thanks mate... hope to present the finished product by Next week... Can't think of anything else to mod to make it more gen... anyone? Weight is almost identical as well.

  9. Amazing strap, more amazing watch and Even more amazing skeelz bro. The date mod looks fantastic... All you need now are a couple of gen parts and you're done!
  10. Just tried your C1 on the hands of my Sinn U2. After mixing like you suggested, applying the hands was not too hard.. next is the dial! I'll document the rest in the Other Brands section so i avoid double posting. But just 2 pics taken from my iphone here as a bump for the great lume! Thanks!
  11. Sinn U2 PART 2- LUMING Got down to work and did up the hands... Thanks Watchlume - The C1 lume rocks! Some pics Daylight Night More to come... stay tuned!
  12. Refinishing a real vintage is liken to touching up the colors of a Van Gogh cos it faded a little over time... a bit more red here, a little bluer sky, couple more stars.... AHH.. Art collector suicide
  13. I think what Chief wanted to emphasize was Vintage. If you were to refinish, or even replace everything worn or old in a vintage... it would never be the same, lest vintage again? Hence, i believe the value will drop rather than appreciate.
  14. That is a very good lens! Prob wun do as well outdoors compared to my 85 f1.4 but certainly good piece of glass. I shall start building up a light tent in my room...
  15. AR MOD After an hour or so or assembling my tools, glue, paint etc.. I'm happy to announce step 1 of U2 mod is complete. Step 2 coming up when i get my C1 lume hopefully tomorrow. Genuine U2, note AR capsule is sunken. uncoloured screw thread within hole at the 6 o'clock Rep with AR mod protruding at 6 o'clock Finished AR mod Wish me luck! G
  16. I tend to agree.. esp now in retrospect.. i think the heart ruled the mind for a while. Think BT made a good observation about the drop in popularity of smaller watches... I'm sure like O/S said, another good deal will come along. Thanks guys! Saved me quite a bit of agony!
  17. i hear ya O/S. Gonna enjoy my drink and go browse for 2-3 Solid reps! Thanks for reply. And hey, if you do get those 2 6694s, drop me a PM or email, you have my contacts Cheerios!
  18. Urgent! Bargained down to 1.7k! Should i pull the trigger? I could buy 3 gd reps with that money! Hes holding it for 1 hr while i sip my starbucks to calm my nerves. Advise pls!
  19. That's a great deal OS! Same as the pic I posted? There's also silver, pink and blue dial. How impt are papers?
  20. BTW just reread the posts, its $1800 neg, not $1300. $1300 neg was another with gold markers. black dial but refinished dial, no papers though
  21. - Yeah, but i'll definitely send it in for a auth check at the local servicing center... can't trust some of these shops sometimes Does anyone know if a rolex authenticity verification at the svc center can also tell me if the dial is refinished or parts are original or changed?
  22. I totally get what you mean.. for some reason everybody's wrists grew bigger and maybe for that reason, bigger watches are in favour now.. I've always fancied a 6694 for its vintagey, clean dial look. Only question is whether paying $300 more for the paper is worth it?
  23. No sorries mate. Just pointing out you might have forgotten the link... I've read it b4... bet you learnt online is the way to go I've purchased several very decent pieces from these street dealers but first, you must know your watch and be firm with price. Next speaking mandarin and even sometimes sounding like a local helps. (But if you sound too local, you will not be shown the trapdoor incase you're undercover - was told this by couple of dealers who thought i was an undercover haha) To escape, ask them to open the watch for inspection of mvmt, they'll either refuse, of which you can leave, or if they do (i never had one b4), proclaim its not swiss and promptly demand to exit. Cheers
