Rolex Milgauss. Badass and underrated.

I have women with smallish wrists wear the Milgy with no probs. Buy one as they are relatively inexpensive compared to other reps, and if it's not the one, either you can wear it or stick it into the Sales section and there is always someone out there looking for one.

I thought these had screws for the caseback. I think one of those Pam rubber balls may do the trick. if not, i have actually used my fingers to slowly push the caseback into unlocking mode. Sorry I couldn't help lol. But hope this gets solved soon

Hi Bud, yeah it looks like a 001 to me. The crown and CG look great, dial is ok to me too. For 5.5 year old Pam, that looks really really good Mate. The strap is a winner also. If you are intending to swim with it etc, you might as well get is sealed and how about the movement? Is the movement accurate. Maybe you can get it serviced and sealed at the same time.

I think keep going with your Franken projects mate, you know it's the disease that has no cure. Yes gens are gens, but my reps are so well made with great effort and care, I have equal admiration for both types. I can look at my gen IWC AT non chrono and my rep 219/177 with equal lust. They are perfect to me because the materials that make them encapture the "style" and "fit" I desire. Besides, they can all tell the time equally well

that IWC is having sex with that wrist because it's so sexay. I also liked this Perrelet DLC with orange numbers. I think DLC/PVD with orange numbers or hands or whatever is pretty good

sorry but what do you mean by manually winding the watch with the wrist? Are you only shaking the watch (wrist movement style) to wind the watch? If so, this may not be enough as you may also be turning the rotating bezel the wrong way. You should manually wind the watch carefully and gently via the crown in the immediate unlocked position. If you do that 20 times and then wear the watch constantly, then yeah as TeeJay said, the watch should run 24 hrs or so.

Hi, you either want the 5002 v2 or 5004 v2 in that case. Both with non-working power reserve. This is because the power reserve ones are very inaccurate. The 5002 is the older dial version with the fish crown, and the 5004 the modern one with the IWC crown. (Both crowns look the same, just the logo on it is either "fish" or "IWC". Both also accurate to the gen). Also the dials are different in terms of looks. Opt for the black dials definitely as they would reflect the Steel nature of the case more accurately. Only mods I can think of is to get the power reserve indicator to maximum and to perhaps recoat the crystal with AR. You can also get a lume job and change the strap to something of much better quality. The datewheel should already sit more flush to the date window.

You're right, I still don't think they should have discontinued the line. Having said that, I do love the new non chrono white dial AT. That one is a killer. But apart from that, the old ones rule. They don't even have any Ti versions either

Funnily enough, I bought this gen because I knew the factories have never brought out a good rep of this specific model. They murdered the Slevin, I mean the Slevin was just awesome. Concepta could maybe source parts but remember this is now a discontinued line also with IWC. Though they certainly will have spare parts
