  1. Wow quite a watch! Hard to tell from the photo but it looks like surface scratches only which would likely buff out fine. I'd check out VRF for a gen, the prices have come down lately. I agree with Freddy -it's worth it to replace with a gen crystal for such a rare watch.
  2. :thumbsupsmileyanim: Can't wait to see it on my 6152 V, thank you again!
  3. PAMman, I'm partial to rivet bracelets, Homer sells a nice folded 7206 rivet style bracelet for ~$70. It's not super accurate (too thick) but still handsome and won't be decrepit like most gens 7206's you'll find. Along the lines of Freddy's logic, a lot of gen owners wouldn't think twice about an aftermarket bracelet on their vintage gen watch. I've seen the same bracelet on a gen 5513 FS on Timezone. Here it is on my franken MBK 5513 Of course there is always the budget utilitarian Tropic or G10/NATO strap approach too.
  4. Just amazing Dadog! Monte Carlo today Snowflake tomorrow

R&J, Sounds like you're enjoying your trip, be safe and take lots of pix! All the best.
  6. Very nice P! It looks like you've been a busy bee lately and with great results I might add.
  7. Great find guys! I'd have to say this was one of the deals of the century. Tudors have a special place in my heart.
  8. DL, BT is right -why does it have to be either or... With all this Exp II talk, that's my choice today.
  9. One of my other guilty pleasures: military gear collecting -some could say I have too much gear sitting around. Some of my Vietnam items
  10. :tu: It's always a treat to see your incredible work VDB!
  11. Geeez! I have a heart attack when my nearly 2 year old climbs up on a stool maybe a foot off the ground.
  12. Heck of an idea R!!! BTW, what an honor to even be mentioned in the same breath as Ubi and Tribal but I'm hardly a builder. Just a fan and collector of parts with an occasional simple mod or two, when it comes to watchsmithing/building I punt.
  13. Looks like you scored Freddy!!!
  14. Marcl, There are no decent reps of the 1675 "out of the box". All will require mod work. There are quite a few of us that hope some day but that hasn't surfaced yet. Polexpete and I have parallel 1675 projects going, his looks great! -do a search and take a look. Here's some pix of mine from Silix to show what can be done, but it has the inaccurate "oyster perpetual date" on it.
  15. One hell of a temporary watch Ubi! Me likey!!! Today
  16. The original Tudor logo was the small rose. It changed to the shield some time in the mid to late 60's.
  17. Hard to tell for sure but the bezel insert is aftermarket and Pete has a point the rehaut looks too deep. Here's another reference shot of my gen 7016, although it's not quite a straight on photo. Nice watch BTW P!!!
