  1. Looks pretty special on that strap. Very, very nice.
  2. Not a big deal for me, either, if for no other reason that I know how to set it, which is much less of a hassle for me. Plus your pictures are pretty much amazing, so I've been swayed once or twice by that.
  3. Two words: kick. a$$.
  4. Nothing to be ashamed of there! Very nice collection.
  5. A new arrival and "old faithful"
  6. Thanks for sharing the pictures. They're amazing on their own. I think this is an advancement (or at the very least a sideways step) from the MBW that I had for a while in terms of case detail.
  7. Richard Hammond wore one in last week's episode of Top Gear. Great looking watch. Looks really, really chunky. I'd definitely be interested in this rep./
  8. You just wonder why they had to take the time to issue a V2, and then got it wrong.
  9. Well, I'll have some rep parts. You're more than welcome to my hands and dial, plus the old date wheel (I swapped for gen Omega wheel). You're also welcome to the crystal as soon as I can change that, and the bezel insert, crown and tube. Let's take this to the PMs if you're interested.
  10. My thanks to Chet for the pictures. The other watch is a 007 w/ gen crystal and bezel insert. I will soon have those mods, as well.
  11. Guys, please don't make me unsubscribe from this thread. There's going to be some good info here.
  12. Can you guys give me an update following a bit of time of ownership? I'm concerned about the reliability of the movement.. seems like there had to be a mod to get the seconds running at 3, but this watch looks amazing.
  13. That Aquatimer makes me feel tingly in places that I won't talk about.
  14. I've got a gen tube on the way in, and a gen crown back ordered. In the meantime, I wonder if it's possible to install the rep crown on the gen tube, or do I just need to wait. Thanks in advance.
  15. It's really growing on me, too. I don't know why, but for some reason the SLR doesn't moniker doesn't put me off as much as the Ferrari watches. I really like this one. AR looks good, date font looks good, dial printing looks crisp. And it's what, $258? I think I'm going to have to get this one.
  16. I think it's a really cool watch. I have absolutely no idea how reliable (or not) the Asian quartz movements are.
  17. This is a fantastic post. Gave me an out-loud laugh. That said, if true this is what a LOT of people have been waiting a long time for.
  18. Good advice. The new date wheel is a must. Sure the ETA 7750 is better than Asian, but you know Panerai: they gotta tinker with it just to make our lives more difficult. I'll definitely check into the crystal. I've got a buddy in Chi-Town who's been helping with parts. Maybe more help is needed.
  19. Here are the pics. Definitely not a 24 dial. Looks great, hard for photograph, but definitely not 24.
  20. I know it's useless without pics. I'm going to post pictures tonight.
  21. Ok, so I got the 24 back from The Zigmeister and it's pretty amazing. But now I've got a question that needs the true PAM experts. I bought the dial off the 'Bay. No question it's a genuine PAM dial. It was supposed to be a 24, which as I understand it, came only as a black dial. My dial is anthracite -- a color I believe was only used for the 106 and 170. I didn't really look at it before it went to Rob because I didn't want to mess it up, so I peered at it through the paper and didn't notice the issue. So here's the question. Any such thing as an anthracite 24? Pictures coming tonight.
