  1. Duplicate it & sell it--I'll buy one.
  2. Looks damn nice, either way! If it's a rep, it's well worth the $7000 it saved you.
  3. Mine usually shows up in 4 days. And twice (because of the way he's shipped EMS Express) USPS even had someone deliver it to the door on a Sunday!
  4. If I purchased a new edition of the Daytona rep, how easy is it to get the following movement added to the watch--for an intermediate tinkerer such as myself--or will it even fit in the case at all? http://cgi.ebay.com/Valjoux-ETA-7750-Watch...1QQcmdZViewItem Also, the seconds on this particular movement, listed above, are running at 9 o'clock, as opposed to 6. Will the pre-2000 era Daytona dials fit this movement (i.e., subdial spacing correct? and will the rep hands still fit), and will, or is a gen dial the only option? Or is there a rep dial that will accomodate this? One other note, just out of curiosity, is it even worth the extra money to buy the more costly Swiss version of the new Daytona (like Josh's Swiss seconds @ 6 as opposed to his Asian), or is it simply a more expensive "ticking time-bomb" as it were? Thanks ahead of time for your assistance.
  5. Register a seller account instead of just a buyer's account. If they think they'll make $ off of you, they don't give a [censored] unless someone reports you.
  6. http://perfect-clones.com/louis-vutton-c-126.html http://www.trustytime.com/index.php?main_p...19bb7146c7af177 http://www.finetime.com.tw/shoping/user_li...OB=48&GU=EN Probably about as close as you'll get, presently. Although, I've done plenty of special orders with these two guys--for products that they don't even have listed--you might be able to do one in rose-gold...

  8. Most gen-inexperienced people think that the gen second hand sweeps completely smoothly with absolutely no stutter, which is wholy untrue. Eta movement second hand sweep is almost exact in appearance to the gen. I'm not totally sure how the movement's beat (BPH) directly correlates to the tick-count on the second hand itself, but my Eta 2836-2 sitting next to my '96 gen looks identical. The second hands do have a modicum of stutter as they sweep, but it looked like they're both about 4-6 "ticks" per second. Your friend is probably thinking in terms of the old reps, which either ticked one per sec (because they were quartz), or the old Asian autos that only ticked twice per sec. An easy spot.
  9. No [censored]? Where at? I was raised on Turtle Beach; on Midnight Pass Rd actually, at the very end of Clark Rd where it dead ends to go left to Turtle or right to Siesta Key. If we do Sarasota, the waterside Hyatt is nice & quite reasonable. One of the best Itallian restaurants in Florida is also in Sarasota--Ferrari's near Tamiami (41) & Bee Ridge. Hole in the wall, all family, from the Boot, schooled son as the head chef--flawless bruschetta & the best vodka sauce on the planet, bar none--better than anything I've had in NY; Patsy's, Rao's... can't touch 'em--and homemade lobster raviolis...Jesus, I better shut up now.... And if it's Orlando, I know a ton of restaurant & hotel owners over there as well. Might even be able to squeeze a deal...some watches, some French food and a nice Bourgogne at Le Coqauvin (rated one of the top French restaurants in the States 20 years running by Zaggats, but their most expensive dish is only $30)... a night at the Westin Grand Bohemian... [censored], I need a vacation.
  10. I was quite satisified with Andrew's Eta GMT. Very nice case & rehaut.
  11. Just saw it before lunch--[censored]ING AWESOME! Adheres much better to the Ian Flemming stuff than the last few Jaguar & BMW commercials they released (i.e., the Pierce Brosnan flicks).
  12. Sounds like you got a fluke--I'd exchange it with him for another one. I'm going on my 4th from him & have never had a problem.
  13. I'm in Tampa. How far south is "south"? Are you talking Sarasota or Miami?
  14. Here's my link to the perfect sub I bought from Josh: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=11854 I'm pretty sure they're the exact same model. I also pulled the movement & it did appear to have been lubed & the case water-proofed, gaskets had been done w/ silicon grease, etc...
  15. Careful against Miss Understood; that's a matriarch!
