Yeah, I was surprised too (On a Weekend). I placed a bid for $700.00 as my highest bid and left the house and saw that I won for less than my bid. Anyway's I need a crystal for this, You can't. see how nice the dial is bec. of the crystal and it's cracked in the bottom as well. You'll Find yours one of this days Sly

Thanks guys, That's what I thought too. My Son is 2 yrs. Old and he might use this growing up.
  7. Hi Guys, This was an impulse buy from yesterday. It is a Rolex Oyster manual wind, I love vintage watches and since it's midsize I am planning to let my wife wear it. Was this a good buy and anybody know about this specific watch. Pictures were not to clear but enough i think to say it's the real deal. Here you go.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=320653250376&si=IEpw0%252FLUul%252BQTGNZIVFbd1h7XCk%253D&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT Sly
  8. Very Nice Tudors.
  9. Love the watch. That's next on my watch list, Drool
  10. Thank you very much Frank.
  11. Alright Guys,Taking my 1680 to the next level with a Gen. Dial. Question for you experts is should I go for a Gen. Tudor Mercedes hands or go for the Clarks one. Is there a big difference between the gen. and clarks. Thanks Sly.
  12. I purchase a Gen. Ladies datejust case. No signs of beinh Aftermarket.
  13. 1680
  14. Happened to 2 clarks crystal on mine as well. Its not a small scrape, your crystal is cracked. It looks like a scrape but 99% chance its not. The rehaut on these watches is too thick and when you snap on that new crystal (fits way too tight), you get hundreds of small cracks from the bottom upwards. I toasted TWO crystals on my PT1680 case. I thought mine was fine also... until one day after washing the dishes, I saw that my Sub was full of fog inside. Then after I dried it out, I wore it out in the rain to walk my dog... more fog in the crystal...
  15. So What qualifies as a franken. I hear this all the time, somebody puts a gen crown on a rep. And then calls it a franken.
  16. Just out of curiosity, Do you have pics of your Tudor Sub and would like to see the engraved caseback if you did have it engraved.
  17. If I remembered correctly a 5513 MBW case would also work for this project (cheaper than yuki). The only problem is where to source one.
  18. check out the tugaris 2783 on the bay.
  19. Thanks guys, I can't. wait for this one to be built as I have been patiently waiting to find some of the parts.
  20. Ubi, i think we were typing this at the same time:)
  21. I would say if you are going with a yuki case you can find watches on ebay which is powered by 2783 for cheap. You don't. Need to cut the feet on the yuki 9411 dial.
  22. At last, I have all the parts to build a 9411. Specs are below, I will update this thread once watch has been assembled and mods done to it. - 9411 Yuki Blue Dial - 9411 Yuki Case - Gen. Tudor 2784 Movement - Gen. Hands - Gen. Gen. Crown - Classic watch parts Blue Insert - Ofrei Pearl - Clark 125 Crystal (for now) Sly
