All this talk of expensive coffee makers is killing me. I could not help but to chime in. I am a coffee fanatic. Espresso, Nescafe, American, I don't care as long as it has caffeine...Im good. In the morning, my wife wakes up and sets up a pot of coffee to start our day. We have tried the Cuisinart model you referred to early on in the post, Victoria - It was horrible. it spilled water over our counter area several times and we had to return it twice. I then went to the Braun version that grinds the beans and makes the coffee...I think that one is still sailing through the atmosphere from when I threw it out the back door. Finally we got what I feel is the holy grail of coffee makers...A Mr. Coffee machine from Wal-Mart. For under $60. Here is a photo of my 47mm "fiddy" beside my Sub. Istill wear the sub and other rolex pieces occasionally, but he Panerai that I have get the most love.

V has a good point. I made a few slipping mistakes on my first Panerai and since then, I have gone to the River springbars.

I'm a big fan of Panerai, but i just can't seem to get into the PVD look. I have never tried one on, and I'm sure that if i did, I would like it but...Im just not in a rush to go out and buy one... This one is a real nice example, though. Great photos, too. Enjoy it.

I am amazed at just how close the Davidsen version is to the gen. I dont have the $$$ for the gen and if I did, I dont know if I would spend $20k for it. It really is a beautiful watch but, c'mon...$20k is a lot of dough.

The first time I ever got complimented on my watch was in Las Vegas by a gay cab driver. I was wearing my 029. It was around 3am and I was getting a cab back from the Palms Hotel to the Venetian. I was more than a little drunk and poured myself into the backseat. I mumbled something that sounded like. "The Venetian, please." and he laughed and said "OK Panerai-boy." At the time I didn't think anything of it, until I was reading a thread on how Panerai has become a status symbol for gay males. Im just glad somebody noticed my watch!!

just to get this back on track.... I get the most comments when I wear my 127. Mostly in the form of "dude, that watch is as big as a clock." I love that watch. Im really looking forward to getting my 183. That should be coming in this week.
