  1. The request to have it taken off seems a little random to me. Also, there seems to be some hostility in his tone. Such odd behavior from the Admins at RWI lately (referring to all of the "bannings" and now this).
  2. The annual Jewelers Circular Keystone trade show in Las Vegas is coming up in June. Is anyone here in the industry and planning on attending?
  3. I wish you the best of luck!!! Steve
  4. I agree with the majority. This is a gen!!
  5. My wife has a law degree from Suffolk University in Boston. It may not be Ivy League but is VERY highly regarded as one of the best law programs in the States. She applied and got wait listed to Harvard Law but we just wouldnt have been able to afford it. Check it out: http://www.law.suffolk.edu/
  6. Wow...Im really upset about this. I enjoy everything that these forums bring to us daily and in one fell swoop...its taken from us. I hope to see everything resolved soon.
  7. Doopey brings up a valid point. If they make the Ferrari at a quality like this, Im sure they have the ability to make a Pam 111 or anything else for that matter, just as great. Im not a huge fan of the Ferrari watch in general but you have to applaude them for the attention to detail. Joshua, anything else coming out of this factory that we can get excited about?
  8. I agree w/ FasTTaP in that bringing the community together by allowing them to make desicions on a final product is a great way to do business. It ultimately leads to higher ROI, which is where everybody wants to be. Kudos to Angus for allowing us to give our input on these past projects. Keep up the goos work, Angus.
  9. How many watches TOTAL will this manufacturer make of this particular watch, initially?
  10. Why dont we look at a recent scenario in our rep marketplace...TTK's Noobmariner. Here is a watch that was created to meet a particular need in the marketplace-a great looking, cost effective way for the average guy to get a quality Submariner rep. The reason I bring it up is simple...the Noob could have easily sold dozens at $180-200.USD but they chose to go a different route and sell them for $120 or so and sold TENS of Dozens that is just a 60-80 dollar difference. I may be way off in trying to get my point across, and pardon my ignorance if so, but I think the manufacturers should really take a good look at the opportunity to make a much larger profit based on volume. I have had contact with several members here and we are all excited to see the Cousteau available. This is a very desireable rep and we all know will sell huge numbers if priced accordingly. Thanks guys.
  11. Ive been to HK twice in the last 2 years and I can tell you from experience...your CC will be tested there for sure. From the shops along Nathan Rd. to one of the largest shopping complexes in Marina City (where all the luxury cruise ships dock) there are dozens and dozens of AD's around the city. You will see more unbelievable timepieces in the windows of these shops than any store in the US or Switzerland. Dozens of customized diamond dials and bezels on watches you wouldnt even imagine could carry that off. Shop on the Kowloon side as opposed to the busier and trendier Central side. The shop owners are much friendlier and less busy. (more time to bargain) Enjoy and bring back some great new pieces.
  12. I think the Ingenieur AMG Ti is a super watch. There is something about the Ingenieur in Ti that makes that watch real special. But you already know that with having the GST
  13. I wonder if he still lives with his Mommy? ...what the hell am I saying...of course he does.
  14. I just saw this watch online and I would love to see if there is enough interest in getting something like this made as a rep (or if anyone knows of an existing one). My wife would love it. Im sure there are a ton of you out there that agree their wives would feel the same.
  15. Mike, How would a complete photography "noob" go about trying something like this? Could I use a plain ol' canon digital camera (s520) to try it? Im a big fan of the way your photos came out, especially the Space Needle one. You should think of selling some of your work.
  16. Damn...thats an easy one - REP!!!
  17. Bunch of jokers you all are!! April Fools to you all!!!
  18. That is fantastic news, Nanuq!!! All the best to the Mrs. from all of us here. BTW...I did my taxes today and we are getting back almost $9200. I wish I could spend some of it on a gen Pam but I will install hardwood floors in my house and put the rest in my kids college fund like we always do.
  19. Here is another post that reads like some shady stuff is going on... http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?s=&amp...st&p=223843
  20. I too, second Smalls in saying that even though Im new to the boards, I feel a slight twinge in the air with regards to some dealers.
  21. It looks like I really need a haircut
  22. The Zigmeister, I just ordered the DG2813 for my Sub from Jules Borel and if Im not mistaken they told me that the Miota did not have the hacking feature. Do you find this to be true? If not, I will order the Miyota and return the DG.
  23. Hi all, I just ordered a new DG2813 movement from www.jules borel.com for my Noobmariner and it couldnt have been easier. I opened an acct. and found the movement online in seconds and placed the order. They do not have secure online ordering so they called me and got my credit card info. Including shipping (fed ex) it was $21.00US. Any orders from here on out will automatically get charged to my card on file. I received an email 20 min later to tell me that it's on its way. I have a local watchmaker that is going to switch out the date wheel and replace the movements for $25.00. I highly reccomend Jules Borel for any watch need.
