  1. Do a google search on the Bush twins...Im sure you will come up with some great articles on their drunk escapades durring the early years of Bush's administrations. It does seem that they have grown up a little, though. I think Barbara, the one you have in your photo there, has turned into a lil' hottie.
  2. Hey Nanuq, You still there? Hello...Damn, guys, I think we lost, Nanuq. Can I have your rep collection???? Unbelievable photo of an awesome bear!!!
  3. I could watch stuff like that all day.
  4. I agree as well....there is a particular store in Marina City in HK that I visited that had thousands of timepieces. Panerai, and Patek were the areas that were getting the most attention when I was there but to see so many watches. Some upwards of $150k USD with "bling" all around. Their window displays have ten times the watches that most US stores carry.
  5. Why dont you guys try going to the Jewelers building (333 Washington St) and in the main lobby there will be a directory of whos in the bldg. Make a list of all the watch repair shops and visit them 1 by 1. Im sure you will be able to find someone.
  6. I think the store you are referring to was Torrneau. The store is absolutely huge, you are correct. I was there a few weeks back and, not unlike any Panerai AD in the States, they were basically sold out of almost every watch w/ the exception of an 18k Radiomir. They told me that they cant keep them in stock. I got a chance to try on the Breitling Flying "B" as well. Now that watch is massive.
  7. I was at a Tourneau store in Las Vegas recently just poking around. I had no watch on at the time, but the salesman asked if I would like to try it on. I did and boiy did it look great. Im a big fan of this watch and also the VC Overseas which I keep in the same company as the Ingy. Two classic looks that we are blessed to have available as super reps.
  8. I purchased a Pam 029 with a modded 2836 recently and the watch has been running well with the exception of losing about 30-45 seconds per day. Usually, when I reset the time in the AM I use the crown to wind the watch a few turns. Now, suddenly I cant wind it. It is stuck when the crown is pushed in and I cnnot advance it. i can pull it out and set the time but no winding. It still winds automatically but Im concerned about the crown part. Any help from anyone would be well...helpful.
  9. SIGH!! Gio...you are slowly becoming my hero.
  10. Back to the original question...damn this got off topic and went to hell in a handbasket, huh? I think it might be the Cartier Must 21 Chronoscaph. Look at the shiny metal inserts in the rubber bracelet. What do you all think? ****Actually I take that back, after looking at it. It has no Chronos and has a notch out of the band.****
  11. V, You really do produce works of art. I love that strap. It has a baseball glove sort of look to the leather which I love. I am actually going to be sending my 25+ yr. old baseball glove to a strapmaker to see if he can turn it into a unique strap for my Pam 029. I hope to be able to purchase one of your designs someday soon. Thnks for all your great work.
  12. I can say that I am guilty of using ellipses at least once in every post. As Pugwash says, I use them to imitate a particular speech pattern. I write my posts as if I was having a converation with all of you. Plus...I think they look funny
  13. My Mom always said to me: Starve a cold but FEED a fever.
  14. Whats really sad is that all of the bidders are kept private so that no one can contact them w/ a warning. You can tell that his main goal is to deceive as he NEVER states that the watch is a genuine Hublot Big Bang. He just eludes to it throughout the description. I hope that Ebay stops this soon before someone gets scammed badly. And as far as the Maserati...Im sure that was all for effect to keep the potential sucker...err, I mean bidder thinking the guy was for real.
  15. Hamilton wins at Indy and makes Alonso look silly while doing it. McLaren's #2 guy comes in 1st for the second straight week and Alonso Im sure can not be happy at all that he is second fiddle to him again. His demeanor on the podium is that he would rather be anywhere but where he was at that time. I can see this turning into a great story as the season rolls on.
  16. I believe that is the Patek Aquanaut.
  17. If Hamilton continues to drive the way he has this season (never finishing further back than where he started is amazing for a 1st year guy) I dont see Alonso sticking around McLaren. Ferrari will pick him up and then we will have an F1 season to talk about. Hamilton in McLaren, Alonso in Ferrari red....oooohhhh Im getting giddy just thinking about it. Throw Massa in the mix and whomever McLaren fills in with. Damn.... I love this sport.
  18. OK guys... Im back from JCk and damn can Las Vegas really wear you out. Up at 7am every day to get ready for the trade show and to bed at 4-4:30am after eating, drinking, networking and oh yeah...gambling. I picked up a few different timepiece publications while I was there but no WatchTime. I got 3 different magazines, International Watch, International Watch -North Americas Leading Watch Retailers, and International Watch - ladies. I know Corgi is in for one, just IM me w/ which one you want Corgi and I will ship ASAP. Anyone else...let me know and I will ship out to you if you would like. Check out my other post for some new info I just got while there as well.
  19. Being a lifelong Boston Bruins fan, I can see where your coming from Predfan. As of late our team has sucked so badly that we have a hard time filling a 16k seat arena. Ive been to a few Predators games in the past in Nashville while Im there on business. The fans there love the Preds' and its a shame that they might move them. Hockey, unfortunately is not what it once was in this country and smaller market teams like Nashville, and Columbus might get swallowed up and moved to areas that will fill the seats. What we need is a championship to bring back the excitment. This guy hasnt made a decision yet if he will move them, correct? Maybe Nashville fans can start a grassroots movement to keep them there. Best of luck
  20. Aahhhh... here is the true inspiration for the photo:
  21. I will be attending the JCK Jewelry Show in las Vegas later this week. As you enter the various pavillions, there are kiosks w/ dozens of publications that pertain to the industry. All of the pubs are free to the attendees and if Im not mistaken WatchTime is one of them. I got a subscription a few years back and love every issue. If I can get my hands on several issues, I will post when I get back and give them away to whomever wants one. Believe me...they are a great bathroom read, if you know what i mean.
  22. Well...that wasnt much of a "battle" now was it. Damn, Rampage is one tough dude.
  23. I was having an issue w/ my Noobmariner movement so I purchased a new DG2813 21j from Jules Borel and brought it to a local watchmaker. He told me that it would be approx. 1 week and I would have the watch back. Well...it has been almost one month and he told me the following: 1) The date wheel is too narrow and would show in the calendar window 2) The old date wheel would not fit the new movement 3) The hands on the original movement did not fit the new movement 4) He had to purchase a "new movement" that would fit the hands and the watch has to be at an angle to see the date in the calendar window with this new movement. Im just fed up with him and I am going to get all the movements and the watch back this week at a cost of $60 USD. Im going to need someone that is in the US that can fix this for me so that I can wear it again. Can anyone help out? Pm or email me.
