My bad for using the "=" sign in my topic. I think the damage is done. I was in the pool yesterday when I noticed the pearl was missing from my insert. Looked okay when I stepped out of the pool. Before going to bed, I looked again, and dial had water damage. Thank God it's a rep. Last summer, I flooded my gen GMT master after a defective crown popped out and unscrewed itself.
Thanks for he input. The safe was built into the home when I purchased it. Original owner said it was purchased from Cotsco maybe 8 years ago. The warranty is definitely up, I think. I may call them this week. Original owner is a friend so that will help. I can always call a professional but if it's a simple fix... I might try my hand at it.
I have a large gun safe that is equipped with both a digital pad and a key mechanism. Today, I noticed that the safe no longer locks. I can open and close the door. When I turn the wheel, the bolts engage but never lock. I removed the door cover to investigate. When I enter the code, I can see the inside mechanism releases to "unlock" the door but it never seems to actually lock. Any help would be appreciated.
I just upgraded my fan in my laptop. I was extremely careful in marking and photographing every screw that was removed. In reinstalling one part with 2 screws, I now have a situation where one screw does not screw in all the way down. I have a second identical screw that behaves the same way but only in one of the 2 holes. Both screws secure perfectly in the other hole. I've tried ignoring it but I felt a vibration as the part was not held down properly. Should I just get a shorter screw that won't screw in all the way down but at least secure the part down? Can I shave the existing screw. I have no idea where to find such a small screw! Thank you
Thanks. I wonder how that compares to a gen spec 6538 dial. After missing out on Droptop's Big Crown, I'm thinking of going the cheap route and commissioning something like the Tempus Machina. Not a fan of the HS01 Heritage Sub that PBDad has been building but I love the Tempus Machina. Would an MQ gen spec dial for a gen rolex movement fit the rep 114060 case? Thanks
