  1. Hey thanks. But it's a Tudor BB. It had served me well! Isn't that always the case! Once something starts, it all goes to hell.
  2. My bad for using the "=" sign in my topic. I think the damage is done. I was in the pool yesterday when I noticed the pearl was missing from my insert. Looked okay when I stepped out of the pool. Before going to bed, I looked again, and dial had water damage. Thank God it's a rep. Last summer, I flooded my gen GMT master after a defective crown popped out and unscrewed itself.
  3. Lost the pearl on my insert. Would this jeopardize its water resistance? Watch was previously tested to 5 ATMs. Thanks for the input
  4. Called today and the warranty is expired. They gladly suggested I buy a brand new gun safe! LOL
  5. Thanks for he input. The safe was built into the home when I purchased it. Original owner said it was purchased from Cotsco maybe 8 years ago. The warranty is definitely up, I think. I may call them this week. Original owner is a friend so that will help. I can always call a professional but if it's a simple fix... I might try my hand at it.
  6. I have a large gun safe that is equipped with both a digital pad and a key mechanism. Today, I noticed that the safe no longer locks. I can open and close the door. When I turn the wheel, the bolts engage but never lock. I removed the door cover to investigate. When I enter the code, I can see the inside mechanism releases to "unlock" the door but it never seems to actually lock. Any help would be appreciated.
  7. Pete, Freddy thanks. any chance I messed up the threading?
  8. I just upgraded my fan in my laptop. I was extremely careful in marking and photographing every screw that was removed. In reinstalling one part with 2 screws, I now have a situation where one screw does not screw in all the way down. I have a second identical screw that behaves the same way but only in one of the 2 holes. Both screws secure perfectly in the other hole. I've tried ignoring it but I felt a vibration as the part was not held down properly. Should I just get a shorter screw that won't screw in all the way down but at least secure the part down? Can I shave the existing screw. I have no idea where to find such a small screw! Thank you
  9. Was thinking it could be a rare explorer or Space Dweller. Maybe a white dial explorer. Enjoy the watch! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Happy birthday Dbane. Killer watch! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Everyone reacts differently to sarcasm or jokes. In this case, I would've just complied.
  12. I love Vintage watches and modern phones! Congrats
  13. And we worry about endlinks and shades of patina...
  14. I've seen some big crown dials listed at 27mm,27,3mm, 27.5mm. Which one is it? Thanks
  15. The dial looks very nice. Personally, I find it a little busy with the addition of "Cartier".
  16. I guess John Mayer passed on this one so it's being offered to the plebs!
  17. Aquatic raccoon and beached whales... interesting
  18. That's a beauty for sure. Freddy's watch somehow looks better!!
  19. Thanks. I wonder how that compares to a gen spec 6538 dial. After missing out on Droptop's Big Crown, I'm thinking of going the cheap route and commissioning something like the Tempus Machina. Not a fan of the HS01 Heritage Sub that PBDad has been building but I love the Tempus Machina. Would an MQ gen spec dial for a gen rolex movement fit the rep 114060 case? Thanks
  20. Anyone know the size of the dial for the rep 114060? Thank you Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Nanuq was responding to me and Legend - posts 4 and 5. He was not inferring that Legend and I are the culprits!
