  1. Split a lot of firewood in winter without gloves on. Ask me how I know....
  2. My 6536/1 has the year spelled out to 4 digits
  3. The sun will be like this for weeks! It's sure nice considering what we have the other side of the annual clock. DP, the IOM was amazing. I'm still sitting looking out the window reliving the memories and all the thousands of little things that happened. What a great adventure! I'll PM you a link to a web page of photos I put together.
  4. One ill frog with warts coming your way mate!
  5. ......and the sun is still up! Love it.
  6. Thanks for the write up and the eye candy. Can you show a profile of the case to see how the lug "swoop" looks?
  7. Great, now my mouth is watering again! Boy oh boy was that tasty.
  8. Yeah baby! Port Jack Chippy and sea breezes with sun on the water. Nothing finer.
  9. I jumped off the Good Ship Wildorf for a swim in different seas.
  10. We're having almost continuous sunlight now... and loving it! That was a couple days ago, and here's my first ever Solstice Tribute with something other than vintage Rolex.
  11. Bell helmets used to have an ad... "If you have a $10 head, wear a $10 helmet". I think of that when I buy eye protection too. After all that's what sunglasses are for.
  12. @DTM, it's not that, it's just that they used to know how to make great lenses. Now, it seems like it's much more about the bottom line. Vuarnet SkiLynx and Julbos were some of the earliest sports glasses and mine are still fantastic. Zero spherical or chromatic aberration. Revos and RayBans were the same. But then I was given a pair of brand new Revos as part of the race team on the Isle of Man and they look nice in the mirror but their performance is unfortunately lacking. I'm grateful for the new shades, but I don't wear them, and they're gen. My eyes deserve better. So that rules out reps too.
  13. All I remember is..... beer and loud music and visions of Nikki6 cavorting in leather. Then I see THIS sitting here? Wow how many brain cells were sacrificed in the name of art?
  14. Welcome back Tribal! Long time no see!
  15. I use these guys and they're rock solid every time. http://www.vintagesunglassesshop.com/brands_revo.html
  16. They're already almost there... this one has the "transparent PVD" coating.
  17. Roger that! I keep my skates sticks and gloves in the Rover so I can catch a game of pickup hockey at lunch. Gotta get the sunlight in your eyeballs every day!
  18. You're right! I re-read the article; the predecessor was a Big Bang, and this one takes the transparent case a step further with a "Double Tourbillon" movement. Good catch.
  19. Yes. It was awhile ago but things like that don't go away. And having to relive it each time they file motions in court to have their cases retried keeps it near the surface. Unfortunately.
  20. Yes, how strange is that?! I spent megabucks on my Big Gonzo 6538 build to get it excruciatingly close to perfect. This one? The crystal falls out if I hit it against something. And I find it hilarious!
  21. It's not that accurate but it pushes the right buttons for me.
