I thought I'd break out some old friends today. Enjoy! 51 years young... 56 years and still kicking.
  4. Well said, Charlie ... this place is about SO much more than watches. Hang in there Cats.
  5. Here's a better idea, send it to me and I'll post photos.
  6. Ooooooooo tasty! Send it to me for a week and I'll make sure not to spill the beans...
  7. 7206 is 20mm, the 7205 is 19mm. Got photos?
  8. See there's proof right there that time travel will never happen. We'd all be wearing a Daytona as we typed this.
  9. The idea is that duct tape (or the banana peel) applied tightly eliminates airflow to the wart, and the skin gets all wet and weird and wrinkly and pruney there, and your immune system somehow detects that as a threat. So it sends in the self-defense mechanisms to seek and destroy the "invader". Or something like that.....
  10. Just put duct tape over the wart and leave it. Couple weeks and it will be gone. I've done it on my hands and it works great.
  11. I have the original sales receipt for this one... $275 out the door in 1971.
  12. This puts you "one" over the allocation limit, please send me the 6204 now.
  13. I can safely say the MQ is a piece of garbage. I bought one and reviewed it here somewhere. I found an unbranded folded riveted band from Squinky on eBay and it was a lot better. I'm with you, the first Yukis were the best. Good luck with your search.
  14. That's quite a handsome piece. You're spot on, add a domed plexi and stand back!
  15. Here's one that lived outdoors on the deck of dive ships and underseas for 30 years, and hasn't faded at all.
  16. Here are an assortment of gen vintage inserts, all faded from decades of outdoor use. The last pic is one that has faded almost not at all. Notice how different the slate/grey/blues look under different light.
  17. +1 DP My '71 Sea Dweller still wears the original MkIII insert and it's a dark, rich black. My '68 Sub has its original MkIII insert and it's scratched up but has only faded a little, to a dark slate grey.
  18. I thought I'd start on the end links. 1/8" gap to the case is just not big enough!
  19. Ooooooooooooooo NICE watch! Please send me that bezel. You have my address.
  20. True, but choose your target 1680 wisely. Some of us are bad examples to follow.
  21. Yeah a Rover is one tough truck. Two Toyotas have destroyed themselves against my rear bumper and it barely scratched me.
  22. Yeah that's my standby truck, the favorite is this one:
  23. (Bear doing his best Dirty Harry voice) So you want your watch... tell me punk, do you feel lucky? Do you?
