    YUKI 7206

Truer words were never spoken. We've had many a late night discussion over beers about this exact thought.
  2. You know what's really ironic? By the time we're old enough to comfortably own these beauties our eyesight has degraded to where we can't SEE them anymore
  3. Hey Tom, welcome back! I saw a similar superbump in another forum and someone replied "Holy necropost, Batman!!" and I laughed out loud.
  4. Excellent points, automatico. In my experience you first pick out the dial you want to use. Then you buy the best case you can find/afford for that dial size.
  5. I have a tripod ... it was a 4-legged dog until the bear got to him. Send me the watch and I'll photograph it for you!
  6. How about the Omega Apnea?
  7. About that beer... I prefer IPAs...
  8. Welcome aboard MOAB, you did know didn't you that the new guy buys the drinks the first year?!
  9. It's an all original 1680 from the early 1970s, except for cheap insert. Like cc33 says, it's an old old friend.
  10. One word comes to mind.... "shrinkage" Have her try the Princess Lodge at Talkeetna, it's a nice spot and you can walk to town and pet the Mayor.
  11. Back, front, right, left. Can anyone guess which is which? There's a Snowflake, 1665, 6536/1 and Big Gonzo in there.
  12. Nome? Outstanding! How long will he be there? Have him tell you about the Sea Ice Golf Classic and the National Seasonal Forest. Safety Sound is a fun getaway as is the road up and over to Council... good hiking, watch for bears.
  13. Thank you mate, it's amazing you can take pictures without flash at the middle of the night!
  14. Yes, although because these were lumed to match my dial, I had these gen-sized hands broached to fit my ETA.
  15. You can't go wrong with CWP hands. The ones on my Big Gonzo were custom lumed and lightly sanded to make the gilt look old, and they're dead ringers for gen. He sells them in gen sizes.
  16. There are inexpensive and widely available folded Oyster rivet bands that are very nice quality. I used one on my 1675 for a couple years and thought it was great. Fit and finish were fine, it looked good and it accepted thick springbars. It felt robust. Then I did some research and discovered the real rivet bands were very thin and the clasp was a little different. So I hunted around and found the Yuki 7206 and bought a handful. I was underwhelmed. Realistically, the quality on the Yuki isn't as good as the original rivet band I had. But its dimensions are correct and I can make it into something usable. Both have flaws. If you don't really care about the thickness and slightly different clasp, you might be happy with the cheap version.
  17. I banned a couple of contributors in this thread. Please feel free to send me a PM when spammers crawl out from under their rocks.
  18. The Stoneface-tona. Of course the automatic reply to your quest for parts would be.... "Do you feel lucky?"
  19. I could die a happy man with a 6200 like the one cc33 posted photos of...... drool....
