When your hand glows in the dark, pop a couple of iodine tabs and soon enough street lights will stop bursting as you pass them by/

Each watch is a work of art unto itself. All the major watch companies have their signature style, and offer designs and choices to the buyer. Yes a Rolex, is recognizable, as the basic design is their trademark. Same with Cartier, Panerai, IWC, etc, For us watch collectors, there are distinctive aspects of appeal and personality which drives us to own them, They make us happy. Car collectors buying Mercedes, Rolls Royce, Jaguar, etc, will buy several of each model, because they ar distinctice in their own way. Collect away, who cares what anyone thinks of your watches look similar. Be happy, buy what speaks to you as a collector.

The blue Rolex is a great choice, as well as the Breitling. Panerai makes a few blue dialed watches which are my personal favorite.

First I strap on my shaving boots, hoist myself to the ceiling where My boots are locked into place, then wait a moment for the gravity effect of beeing upside down stabilizes, at which my shaving cream is applied, my trusty Schick 5 blade electric razor makes several clean sweeps to allow my face to be smooth like a babies bottom.

This car, a one of a kind Bugatti, runs to 253mph, has a body made of high grade porcelain. I want it but some clown already scooped it up.

Again, after putting the crown into the wind position, wind til tense, push down on crown reversing the motion to counter clockwise. You will feel a click after a few turns. At the click, reverse to clockwise, all the while applying pressure. This action should wind the crown flush to the bezel. If the crown is unresponsive and loose, take the back off and tighten the inside screw.

The H Factory 380, , while a superb replica, has a sensitive crown. Wind the watch to it's maximum, stopping as the tension increases. Gently push down on the crown while turning it towards you, (Counter Clockwise). As you turn the crown, you will feel a click. At that point, reverse the crown to clockwise, while bearing down a bit more firmly. The matter of opening the back plate and tightening the screw next to the crown, is advisable, should the above directions go askew. Anything out of control for this fix merits a return.

Nice choice. My first rep was also a Breitling. The Chronomat is quite accurate, but I would suggest one of the newwer models. This one has a 2006 manufacture date. Get a newer one and you will be stylin!

I drive a 2001 Mercedes E430 with the sports package, super charged V8 that goes 0-60 in 4.7. The car is always exhilerating to blast down the highway on long trips. Milage is 118,000, and will probably go to half a million. Paid cash 3 years ago at auction for this automobile and have never had any serious issue, although there are a few items that must be replaced after 100K on the E430 and they have been. The car drives like it just came off the showroom floor.

Great thread! Yesterday my 380 became tough to put the crown back. Made a ball of duct tape and tightened up the screw closest to the crown, I feeli like I just tuned up my Mercedes E430!

As a maniac, I offer gen 19th century time pieces. An Italian porcelin design with a bavarian watch works. The pocket is Great Grand Dad's 1872 Waltham. Still works.

Now that is a classic. You have great talent Donerix

They still publicly execute people in china in a stadium of invited party members and send the bill for the bullet to the families. This has happened to multi millionaires who have run afowl of public sentiment. We love our rep watches, but the Chinese Govt. could care less about anything than their means to an end. Beneath the veneer of the smile and handshake is a communist regime murder machine. I think it is mindful to remember this, and hope that real freedom for the Chinese people comes to pass one day.

I have heard that there was an issue with the crown on the new 380 and that it is being reworked. Mine works fine, but if yours is one with this issue, the dealer will fix it. it is a drag to mail back of course, but sometimes there are recall issues. Good luck, the 380 is a good looking watch/

Geez Rolli, your photos are awesome.. I love my 380. It is really one of the best pam reps made IMO.

Call customs, and tell them that your friend who you met in the UK sent you a gift and you were wondering why it took so long. If they ask what the gift is, you don't know. Simple solution and no harm done.

I can say that the 372 is being researched extensively and the makers are anxious to make the 3000 movement. They are on top of it. The ones who have not been arrested anyway.

I just heard from Andrew . He said the raids and arrests have been massive, and like nothing he has ever seen before. There is no doubt now.

New Hands & Lume Rebuilding Grandfathers Watch
hambone replied to redwatch's topic in General Discussion
This is my Great Grandfathers watch, He was a mercenary from Finland in the 1899 Boer War in South Africa, and carried this 1872 Waltham watch with him. My Father just gave it to me. I had it serviced a few days ago and the hands are aligned, and it runs nicely. -
whats the thing with the forum dollars? What did i miss?

Maxman, There is a classic hit about Volvos you know... "Three Bimbo's in the Volvo, oiled up with heads full of snow.... Three Bimbo's in the Volvo, just waiting for nice guys to blow" Remember that one? It was sung by The Volvettes, and written by Per Lundquisthaven. Oh Jeeez....I'm so ashamed. My sense of humor has gone off the deep end now by golly! -

Panerai has released a number of great new watches for 2012. The 372 is quite a dazzler. It will be one of the new ones coming out soon. I am on board to have one of these. The base pams are the best IMO.
