  1. I concur, very nice watch and the Pam 111 is a terrific watch also. What's really cool about the 111 is all the different strap choices. The bracelet is also a beauty. I sold mine years ago. It was Swiss mvmt and no longer made. I wish I still had it.
  2. Happy Veterans Day, To all who have served our country. I am honored to say I served in The United States Army.
  3. The Polywatch did the trick rather nicely
  4. This is indeed an interesting subject.. I have been a member here at RWG for a bit over 9 years now an it is a far better club of really great individuals than when I first arrived. There were some here back then who were rather unpleasant and riled a number of us. They are long gone and it is great how cool RWG is now. I pretty much discovered Panerai here and have owned so many of them. Working in Caesars Palace, I was astonished by how well some Pam reps were made compared to the original item in the AD stores. There is a Panerai boutique now in Caesars which is fun to visit. The brand is as strong as ever and very popular amoung the folks who easily drop thousands for Pams . I see no letup on the popularity of the brand. Like any product their are peaks and valleys of popularity, but this watch line will be around for many years to come.
  5. Polywatch it is then by golly. Mahalo! i just ordered it from my Amazon account. It was 9.95 shipped. Will advise the outcome. i have an extra tube of Displex if anyone wants it. I got two and it is a gift to whoever pm's me.
  6. Yosuka Kawaiden was written as a play in 1825. It takes place in 16th century Edo (now Tokyo) and is the story of s samurai named Lemon who betrayed hiswife, nude red her father and poisoned his wife, Auwe with face cream that scarred her face badly and made her partially bald where her hair fell out. Lemon told a servant to have an affair with his wife so he could divorce her and marry another. The servant was repulsed by Auwe's disfigured face and she tried to kill him accidently killing herself. It is said her ghost haunted Lemon on his first night of marriage continued and went mad by her haunting. You can see her in today's Japanese horror films like the Ring and Juon . There is a spooky film done in 1959 and has been in woodblocks by Hokusai. See below
  7. Thanks DTM, I have tried toothpaste but a soft wheel Dremel never occurred to me . Perhaps the displex applied with my Dremel would be more effective than my finger. E
  8. I purchased a tube of displex for the scratches in the 372 Pam I have that has an acrylic criystal . It was reccomended by my brothers here and I very much appreciate the opinions from my post on the subject . Anyhow, my Displex was just delivered and I rubbed it into my 372 and used the polishing cloth provided however, it did not work so I tried once more and still no effect on the significant scratches ( which are not deep). So, if there are any other suggestions I will take them as seriously as I did the others. Thank you my Bro's for your good advice,I know everyone means well. Eric

    Japan

I have been to Japan over a dozen times and have spent a great deal of time there. My ex wife of 25 years marriage is a Japanese National, and I'm glad our two kids have grown up there and speak fluent Japanese. I speak the language from osmosis to a degree. It is a beautiful country.
  10. AJ, your and my friend Legend sure has talent. Congrats on a superb looking time piece. It has to be one of the finest AP watches I've ever seen. Enjoy Brother!
  11. RWI blows goats! I was also banned from there and there is no place like home.
