  1. Ouch! That has got to hurt. Great that they are replaced, but still yet it must be a shock to have it happen. I hope not to experience the feeling.
  2. Did not even know that it existed. Suppose I am fortunate to have found this place as I find it to be stimulating, fascinating, informative and a pleasure to visit. The many good minds that contiribute to this site make it as outstanding as it is and I for one am happy to be here.
  3. Thanks, yes, convincing the Mrs. comes into play big time for many of us, but what would we do without them?
  4. Thanks, I had not seen Davidesns upgraded 127 posted and was not even aware of it till he notified me today. Just wondering how much better it is than Trustys at 280.00? Both are apparently re-lumed and have sapphire. I would prefer not to have to do any extra mods if it at all possible.
  5. Awesome collection, awesome photos , congrats !
  6. That is a wonderful collection of watches you have, Very inspiring. Kudos on the photography.
  7. Wow, That is exactly what I am ordering now. The crazy horse with the black stitch is my choice and Davidsen told me he has an upgraded fiddy now that is 380.00. Is this the one you have?
  8. go to www.photobucket.com Then use gregstraps as user name and gregstraps as password. I am getting one from him now. He makes killer straps. They are all custom made to order and take about 3 weeks to get, but it looks to me well worth the wait. I will let you know when mine arrives.
  9. A great watch in a classic Vegas shot
  10. I have found this site to be helpful as well... http://www.theluxurybazaar.com/timepieces/main.aspx
  11. Cartier has a nice line of womens watches that are available in rep, though they are small and rather dainty, You might consider a smaller mens Cartier like the Tank or Roadster. They do look quite elegant on a lady. Good luck in your quest.
  12. Late one night as I was perusing Josh's website, I came upon this Parmigiani Kalpa Hebdomodaire in gold. At 128.00 I could not resist and here it is. This watch is quite a good looking evening/formal watch. Nevermind that the gen is only available in steel in this model, it's ok by me. It is funny how when something is priced rather low, ones inclination is to think perhaps something is amiss. Not the case here. This one proudly goes into the watch box with the ever expanding collection.
  13. Holy Cheescake Batman! Thats what I call a wrist-shot and then some
  14. People I work with been amused at my watch collecting of late and I have told them that they were reps, however only compliments have been given from others.
  15. Congrats! Great looking watch. Enjoy it !
  16. Radiomir 232 with a Bob Strap
  17. I am still on the fence on the 187 as my next Pam or the Fiddy. Either way I am going to get a Greg Strap for the one I get, maybe I'll get both, but the straps that Greg Stevens makes are about the best I have seen. There are a number of good choices out there in any event and the 187 would look good with just about any strap.
  18. Thank you The Zigmeister for this extremely well written, informative and valuable post. Bravo!
  19. This post is very informative and is a great example of what makes this forum so cool. The wealth of info on watches here is nothing less than outstanding.
  20. The design of this watch is quite elegant. What kind of movement is a spring drive? 5 K for a Seiko though ? Looks like they are exploring new markets.
  21. It is all in good fun. I think that at this point in time there has become a certain legitimacy to the rep market. Most assuredly, web sites such as this one validate the concept. Having read several posts of people who collect both genuine and replica also confirms my feelings about it. Of course there are those who are going to object no matter what and they are entitled to their opinion, however self serving and narrow their opinions may be. Bottom line is this is a great deal of fun and I don't give a damn what anybody else thinks when it comes to buying, wearing or sharing replica watches.
  22. Been waiting for this one. Looks fantastic .
  23. I am, also in sales and happen to have friends who work there. I would never waste their time as I don't want anyone wasting mine, but not knowing me and at face value I can see where you are coming from.
