Sounds like it!! Well Sir, I'm afraid it's history. However if it is md2020, you should contact Mike on a bike and add your name and what was sent to his list.

So what are the distinguishing differences that he is using to claim this is a clone. He has one watch in hand, and the other is a photo. He needs to give a good valid reason(s) why he thinks the 2836 is a clone. I cannot see anything glaring that would lead him to say that the movement is a clone, but I'm no movement expert by a long shot.

Here is one over on VRF close to your price range, probably negotiable down a little. here is the link http://www.network54.com/Forum/207673/message/1390354785/FS-+1971+Rolex+DateJust+1601+in+Steel+with+Smooth+Bezel

Wearing my work watch today in the Snow and Ice which is rare here in the deep south, but this is twice in the past week. Thank goodness for a 4WD truck!!

What is he basing his statement that it is a clone? Certainly stamped ETA 2836. I wasn't aware of clone makers stamping their movements as ETA? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Fraggle I did the reset just as you instructed, still the same. No problems at all with Google Chrome. Every time IE updates to a newer "improved" model, problems start to crop up. They are sort of like rep makers, solve one problem, create another!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Very well done. Beautiful job!! It's too bad HH couldn't get the case deal off the ground. I was really looking forward to a 1680 case for my 1680. I believe his cases solved the problems of the Polex Design MBW cases, using a 5513 case for a 1680. Oh Well, maybe some day!! But yours is a super nice watch, wear it well, and wear the heck out of it. Let it get it's aging from use.

Mine was built by mymanmatt. It was built about a year ago. that's a well worn but nice genuine alligator strap, genuine Rolex 18k buckle, genuine dial, crystal, crown. Matt supplies the case and movement. actually he supplied everything except the strap and buckle.

You are certain the website you ordered from was the real Perfect Clones website, not a cloned Perfect Clones. I have no experience with this payment system, but honestly, I have a great deal of suspicion with any site that asks for a myriad of details about my credit cards and/or personal information. It's just too easy for this information to fall into the wrong hands, someone clones your credit card and armed with that as well as a lot of personal information, it's off on a shopping spree!! For all I know this may be a perfectly legitimate payment portal. Hopefully some other members who have used this or have experience with this business will chime in and let everyone know what they think about this system.

Wrist shot request AP diver vs Rolex Submariner
panerai153 replied to danielv2000's topic in General Discussion
Billy, my wrist is just a shade over 7" and the Diver works fine. i will say that it will probably be more comfortable in the summer with short sleeves, as it's a bit uncomfortable under a shirt and sweater. I don't think that is a problem with the diver in particular, I believe that all bigger more massive watches have the same problem. I have a FC V3 and it's more comfortable than the S/S Diver, but I believe that is because it's so light. you don't even know it's on your wrist. If you have and AP dealer that's accessible by you, I would not hesitate to ask them to try one on. I changed out the strap on mine to a Donerix Sharkskin, and it's a lot softer and more pliable than the rubber strap and is more comfortable.Coming over from primarily wearing Rolex, and mostly vintage at that, the size of the AP diver straps have taken some getting used to, but outside of the problem wearing them under tight sweater cuffs, both the rubber strap on my FC V3 and the Shark strap on my V5 are pretty comfortable. I do think that a 7" wrist is pretty much the limit, size wise to comfortably wear this size watch. I know from looking at photos that there are guys out there who have wrists smaller than 7" , but to me the watches don't look very good if most of the lugs are hanging off the outside of the wrist. Just my opinion. Here is mine and please pardon the dust!! -
When i use the WUSIWUG mode, I can download the photos, only one at a time but when I press "add photo" nothing happens. if i change the mode by pressing the BBcode button to the simplified mode, ican load the photos into my post. I just opened RWG up in Google Chrome, and it's working fine, just as it was in the past, can upload multiple photos, quotes appear at the top as supposed to and I can paste into my post OK. Obviously there is something going on with IE. Possibly I changed something in the Tools/ Advanced in IE. Not sure what is happening, but whatever it is, it's novel to IE, no carryover to Google Chrome.

My java and adobe flash are up to date. I've been having some problems with IE lately. my online banking wasn't working a few weeks back and it had something to do with an upgrade that caused problems in IE. I'll try another browser, it's just that IE is pretty convenient for me as I use MS Outlook for my email, and it's very convenient to use as well as store emails under various categories.

Not sure when this started happening, and not sure if I pushed the wrong button sometimes in the past, but I'm now having problems posting photos as well as quotes. Also copying text into my posts. Here is what is happening, when the BBcode mode is in what I would call HTML mode, where everything in the command bars is illustrated, like Bold, underline, image, etc. I cannot post a photo, cannot add a quote, or paste anything. If I press the BBcode button and everything at the top blanks out, I can post photos, quotes, and copy and paste from some other document or website. Also in the past I could select several photos at one time and add them to my post. Now I can only add one photo, and the nI have to go back browse to my photos ,select another one and add it to my post. Anyone else have this problem? It's not huge, but it's irritating that things don't work as they should.

I agree, Do some research, look at the trusted dealer offerings and chose what you think would suit you best.

DW is still in business, he has an Ebay storefront. Not sure about the gold 6263's but I saw some gold pushers for sale a few days ago on his site. He might be able to get the watch for you if you contact him. I almost pulled the trigger on a Gold 6263 back last year, but he was only taking WU and I chickened out. I also contacted Spinmaster who told me that he could get the watch from David, and do the mods on the movement. (Remove the rotor and autowind mechanism) However his price with the mods was going to be around 780.00 USD, and I didn't have the cash at the time. the other problem was the only dial available was the black dial, and i was really wanting the gold dial with black subdials. Here is DW's eBay name that he sells under, qkyvaljouxshop

I just boxed up my V5 Diver to send to Vac. He is going to relume dial/hands, movement service and slow beat mod. He is not inexpensive, but looking at the photos on this and other forums, plus the work that he did on a couple of watches about 3 years ago for me, he is top notch. Everything adds up to kicking it up a notch or two toward something to be proud to wear.

For you guy's in the German region "part's"
panerai153 replied to dfer777's topic in General Discussion
looks like someone cleaned out their "junk watches" bin!! Might be something that someone who is starting out repairing watches could use, lots of stuff to practice on. -

Mike can help. The new payment system doesn't use PayPal at all so you can upgrade to VIP and not go thru PayPal. AFA paying for watches that would have to be worked out between you and the seller.

Missed it too, but I hope that you had a very happy birthday, and many more in the future. -
veterans to!! Updated/new sales thread rules.

Akira, Maybe my choice of words wasn't the best. And I agree with you that this board has the least activity of any of the rep forums. I visit RepGeek fairly regularly, mainly because the AP forum there is much more active than here, also their rep watch trade forum is busier. I will say that the Rolex forum here is much better. Possibly not as many posts, but content wise more comprehensive. I'm not sure what it would take to raise the activity level here, but I'm sure any input would be appreciated -

This is the dilemma, if you relume the dial, you basically destroy it's value as an authentic untouched dial, however as others have said, pieces of lume can get into the movement through the date window, and if they get into the movement you could have bigger problems. Since you are replacing the dial, I wouldn't worry about this one, set it aside, and carry on with the new dial, hands. you should be good to go for many years. Wear the watch and enjoy it, you can always include the old original dial as part of the sale if you should ever decide to sell the watch. I f your watch had gone back to a RSC for service years ago, the RSC would have replaced the dial/hands as part of the service. That was the way Rolex handled watches with failing lume. I would bet that most of the older Rolex watches that have gone to RSC's over the years don't have the original hands/dial, crown/tube and inserts that they came with as new. Of course that is the dilemma that vintage watch owners face when getting their watches serviced by Rolex, they (RSC's) want to replace everything!! That's pretty much a moot point now as Rolex won't service many of the older watches. Possibly they are out of parts, maybe they don't want to fool with them, who knows.

Sounds like you are getting screwed over all the way around. I don't know what to tell you, the movement may be worn out, but the first watchmaker should have been able to see that it was not functioning properly. What does the guy who you sent it to this time say, I know he says it's not working , but why? I don't see why he can't replace the parts that are bad and make this one work. You will stil need to address the water resistance issues by either replacing the pushers, or replacing the O rings if that is the problem. Lots of guys here have built 7032's so maybe some of them might have some thoughts as to where the problem is.
