  1. can't wait for the T-48's... the T-60's look good too though!
  2. wow... i just did some rough calculations.... that $18,095 in forum value right there.... could be more depending on the gen Tag (i put in a number of $1200 for it)..
  3. i'd be very interested to see the updated cyclops/crystal then when you get it...
  4. I tried selling my 117 cased 127 last month with engraved bridges and no one wanted it... so, like kruzer says, it comes and goes...
  5. I sold my bracelet as I didn't like the watch with it.... I have my V2 on a gen pro diver right now and love the watch... I am waiting on my order for the 22mm Ocean Racer rubber pieces and another order for the replica ocean racer strap... which is what I will use day to day.... Love this look
  6. What do you guys think of this case.... it has the T crown and V CG on it at the moment... notice the double screws...my set of dials is on its way so it's just a matter of deciding between then 201 and 202...
  7. Grinding it down with the dial out of the way is the best way.... Idiot me.... my friend currently has my dremel and I just had to finish my 009A.... so i went to snip off that seconds hand.... long story short, i ended up pulling the jewel right out of the movement... Do not go at it with clippers, pliers, etc.... i now have a dead movement!
  8. I remember when I simply had to have a Chopard Ltd Ed Grey dial.... I got one from a friend that had been lumed by The Zigmeister..... it was getting a really hot girl in bed only to find out she is a really bad lay..... seriously, I thought it was going to be an all-time keeper... but nope... Simply put, it felt awful on my wrist and was so uncomfortable that I couldn't live with it anymore... I ended up moving it to someone you all know.. I hope he enjoyed it far more than I did...
  9. Yes... where oh where can I get one? Someone show me some love, please!
  10. Being in SoCal, I've gotten the opportunity to sit down and talk and share meals with CBR over the past year or so... I've always enjoyed his take on things and his knowledge about this lil hobby of ours... If he stays away, we will be the poorer for it.... having spent time with him though, he's going to have to take it one day at a time to stay away.... he has a true love for the community...
  11. Yes.... I removed RBJ after a staff decision.... we wish him the best of luck in taking care of his health and and with whatever falls his way.... whatever anyone's opinion's of his services or work, he is still someone who a lot of people consider a friend and we respect that they may disagree with the decision.... That being said.... if anyone on RWG wants to discuss anything, feel free to pm me.... I would definitely want to hear from anyone who has anything in the shop with him... As a follow-up, RBJ has only been removed as an endorsed modification expert along with having his section removed..... he is still a VIP member in good standing with RWI...
  12. @lello - i'm on there for a secs @3 for Panerai... but I should be on there for a Breitling, not the Panerai one...
  13. I believe that is a different model... this pvd ltd edition is new to this year...
  14. If you had been there, price would've been higher than $20k obviously... maybe a little more, maybe a lot more... Someone got a sweet deal though... it would be crazy if it was just someone taking a flyer on it.... "I'll throw a lowball bid on it, because you never know"
  15. You know.. I had hosted exchange for my company... and my boss complained about it costing too much... he went on his own and spent $20k for 20 users (equipment, consulting, software, install) and he's bitching about how many viagra ads he gets... so, he's suing the guy... Why do they never listen?
  16. good luck.. but know that the subdials on the replica Planet Ocean chrono won't match the genuine due to a very different movement being used (the asian 7750 based replica movement versus the 2892 based genuine movement (co-axial and chrono modules added)
  17. agreed... it is what the boards would call Swiss... but it definitely has asian parts...
  18. I'm trying to remember.... so i can't say with 100% certainty... but i believe silver is actually better... in that it has more stringent QC and is a better offering... and I believe that gold signifies that it has swiss parts, but was assembled in Asia...
  19. relax! give him some time... but do be sure to have him verify that it is a 2824 that you will be sent....
  20. look at all the differences here... http://www.ne.jp/asahi/panerai/carpediem/h...STRICINDEX.html
  21. Well... I hope to someday see a T48 crown.... it'd be nice to have... As for the Turkey crowns... I believe they are gen/gen-like.... picture if you will, in 97-98 time-frame a subcontractor is called on to make a spring loaded crown... the blueprint is handed over and a design is made and executed.... but there are 4 too many teeth.... so they are rejected... after all, it is sometimes hard to remember how many teeth the crown is to have during the manufacturing process right? If the Turkey crowns were truly gen, they would come in blister packs as other Panerai parts do... but that they don't doesn't mean they weren't made to be put on a gen.... just that they failed QC in terms of teeth.... Who knows, maybe some company out there lost the contract because of the # of teeth and then dumped them to a watch repair guy as, who is ever going to tell between 52 and 48 teeth.... the watch repair guy can charge full rip for the crown and pocket the profit....
