  1. Has anyone ingod's email adress? I'd need a 1680 dial. Thanks
  2. I have a 2846 without hack which I regulate atm. When I set the time anticlockwise and put a bit pressure on the stem even the second hand runs backwards, with a little pressure the second hand holds its position (like hacking). How is it possible that the second runs backwards and does it damage the movement in any way? Thanks
  3. Thank you for this very detailed instruction! Yes, I have just one stem, waited 4 weeks to get it. And with your method I just needed one stem Cheers
  4. Hello, today I eventually got my final part to finish my 1016. I got a new stem, but the problem is it is to long. Can anyone give me a hint how to figure out how long it should be? Thanks!
  5. Just wanted to order tube and Sternkreuz T21, but I realized they don't accept paypal. So now I have to find another source or go to the bank and get a credit card. Does anyone know where I can get the screws and movement taps? Thanks
  6. The case is for plexi crystals, it came with an old one but it was cracked. I measured the case roughly, the rehaut OD is about 29,5mm, this should be fine, the bezel ID is about 30,5mm, so it needs to be machined or a whole new bezel is needed Thank you ubi, didn't expect that but unfortunately I am in Europe Cheers
  7. I paid about 50€ on ebay for all you can see, the seller hadn't much knowledge about the stuff he was selling. So the origin of the case is unknown. The sides are an issue, but before I source another case I try to sand them a bit, the rest of the case looks fine in my eyes. Unfortunately I don't have a caliper that is precise enough, but I gonna get one soon. Based on my research: if it would be a SL service dial, it just would say "SWISS", right? Cheers
  8. I know LHOOQ is the 1016 expert, I think I read all his topics and his pictures give me the motivation. And yes, the dial fits perfectly and I also have the right spacer ring for it. I bought a M3x0.35 tap a while ago for my 1680, didn't know it is the same, great! Hopefully a Clark crystal will fit, read a lot about this issues, maybe I'll find someone in Europe who sells GS crystals, would be better. Can someone tell me where I can get screws and those small metal pieces that hold the movement in place ? Thanks
  9. Hello guys, I had the opportunity to get a DJ (lookalike) case, crowns, ETA 2846 and an Explorer dial for cheap (was on ebay). It is my first 'real' project and so I have some questions. Here the things I got: 1 generic, 2 Rolex crowns (I don't know the 530/600 very well, so I can't say if they are gen, but I doubt it) The stem does not seem to be the right one for the 2846 The second hand is slightly bent, the minute hand is rubbish (bent and loosing its lume) but the hour hand is great because it is curved ! The case has some flaws; the hole for the tube is messed up and the sides are not curved. Lughole position looks good, enough space and meat to drill them. The caseback is very flat, but brushed. And the dial: I searched a while and it seems to be a MBK/MBW dial because of the 'SWISS MADE', the printing is crisp, and has a nice lume. I tried to find out if there were any SL service dials with that 'SWISS MADE' printing, but I couldn't find any. My To-Do list: - sand the case a bit to get that curved look - drill the lugholes - drill and retap the hole and fit a Clark's 24-6020 (?) tube - polish the caseback partly, the brushed area must be a bit smaller in diameter - fit a Clark crystal or a GS if I can find one in Europe (is there any source?) - clearcoat the dial - find a minute hand - find an ETA stem and hopefully one of the crowns fit the tube - find a 7836 or jubilee bracelet Can anyone help my with the crowns and tubes. Which tap do I need and can anyone tell me something about the crowns and stem I got? How does the dial looks like? It looks good to me but I'm no expert, the 'SWISS MADE' bothers me, but otherwise I don't want to spend much money on another one. So what do you think? I appreciate any advice! Thanks, 1680
  10. Or are those dealers secrets everyone keeps ? Cheers
  11. Sorry, the last post should be in this thread: http://www.rwg.cc/topic/136385-what-rolex-sub-mercedes-handset-for-2846/page__st__20 Thanks
  12. Hi, I just want to get confirmed how the curve on gen hands should look like: Picture: Yukiwatch.com Thanks!
  13. Hello, I'm looking for a kind Rolex AD who sells parts. I know the ADs sell most of spareparts just in exchange, but there are some parts like bezel inlays you can get with no exchange of your old part. I've been to some ADs now because I need this saftey lever thing from a 93150 clasp, I know that you can buy this thing, I even have the spare part number but they allways tell me that I only can get a complete new clasp (in exchange of my vintage clasp ) and a new clasp would be 300€, the lever is just about 28€! So, does anyone know a Dealer in Germany or even Europe who sells parts without any problems? Thanks
  14. Hm, how much ... as much as necessary I'd say (but as less as possible, because I'm just a student). I've seen a few cheap Tudors, but there are just a few in Europe and it should have a quartz movement. And I want to build it, I want to give her something I've put a lot of time and effort in. The only rep lady size Tudors I've found here: http://www.gmt-rolex.com/tudor-princess-date-c-22_40.html And I doesn't look like a trustworthy dealer. @Nanuq: thank you for your kind words. BTW: it doesn't have to be an Oysterdate Thanks
  15. Hello, I'm thinking about building a Tudor for my girlfriend as a birthday present. She just wears small watches, now she has a very small Swarovski watch. Due to the fact she loves the British history, especially the Tudor dynasty and that her favorite flower is a rose I thought about building something with the size of a lady Datejust with a Tudor Rose dial. The problem is I don't have a lot of experience with Tudor watches. I thought I'd source a rep Lady Datejust and swap the movement and the dial (somehow). It should have a smooth bezel, a black rose dial, a jubilee bracelet and a quarz movement (she doesn't wear a watch every day). I've searched for the different Tudor Princess watches and found the Ref. 7906, Ref.7580 or Ref. 7600. Could anyone help me out? I would appreciate any information and advice. Thanks!
  16. Yuki's got solid midlinks and NDT's 120$ 93150 is rubbish, got the same from a 60€ uber-cheap Sub.
  17. Could anyone explain me the difference between a minute track and chapter ring dial?
  18. It is just a swap, pictures later.
  19. Hello, finally I got my NOS vintage 703 today Now the question is how can I remove the stem from the old crown without damaging the stem. Should I heat the stem carefully with a lighter? Thanks!
  20. Personally I wouldn't like a mineral cyclob on my plexi crystal, are there any plexi magnifier?
  21. Does the rotor of a DG3804 wind in both directions? My A21J in my 1680 did not and that really bothered me.
  22. You could buy a cartel 5513, use the bezel assembly and the rest wents into ur drawer.
  23. Hello, can anyone tell me how I can remove the stem and pushers on this movement? I've already removed the 2 screws next to the pushers, didn't work... Thanks
  24. I messed up my keyless when I removed the stem in the winding position.
  25. I remove the stem in the time setting position and I don't have any problems with it.
