  1. I am not sure if the ETA movement will fit. But your biggest problem is the grossly incorrect 28000bph of the ETA. It is very different than the 1575 movment, and, it it is very noticeable.
  2. By the way, the 2 pics above were taken prior to movement and hands swap. The crystal though is T21, and the tube/crown is OEM. There is no doubt that the 1st generation DW had the best bezel engraving/font. I should tell you all that I never wear my DW's anymore. After dropping all that money, time and frustrations on these watches - I lost interest in wearing them. It's funny how things happen like that. Anyhow, I remain a collector so they will remain with me until the bitter end. And they are, at least, lovely to look at *edited for spelling errors
  3. Gotta love those old DW's... Especially with a Valjoux 72 running the show.
  4. Interesting watch. But anybody who gives Jacob any money at all is a complete idiot.
  5. My date wheel alignment is pretty good as u can see. I would like to install a correct font wheel though. I am sure this will be something that will become available. There are too many perfectionists around here to let this one remain as is.
  6. Damn man, sounds like you'e got movement issues. My 3717 works like a charm. Perhaps a little time running your watch will get the movement properly running. Cheers
  7. I remember those old TRC days, too. After experiencing serious waiting times back in the day, I sorta got used to waitin' around. It certainly was not unusual to get a watch a month later. I know times have changed, but the game is still the same Happy hunting to all! -Euno
  8. Now that is what I call 'true love'!
  9. I know... No offense to us veterans & new members. But I have been hearin' lots of gripes as of late. It's ok, I know folks get worried - I don't blame them. Maybe it's my Bushido upbringing, but I keep my gripes to myself. Cheers PS. I will admit that I did loose control after months & months during the last Crazy Sale
  10. What I mean is that this is the only rep that gets comments from random folks. A lot of my vintage OEM watches do get compliments though. Perhaps it remains an anomaly in this day and age to wear something that is 'old' as opposed to new.
  11. Yes, it's an EL special. I have had numerous compliments on the watch since receiving it a few days ago. I am surprised. The only other watch that gets as much compliments is my mid-1960s GMT 1675. I even had a lady in line compliment me on my choice of IWC.
  12. Chill - you will all get your watches. If u can't wait, or u want ultra-personal service, go to an AD & drop $$$ on the real thing. Sorry but I've been around these parts for too many damn years - and I have reached my limit with all the "waiting for so long, no tracking #, ...," stuff. Regards, O.G. Eunomians
  13. Taken whilst waiting for new tires to be installed on my Bavarian Beast. Not bad for pix taken in a waiting room - but it's hard to take crappy pix with a Leica coupled with a Zeiss lens. The images have not been retouched in any way. What you see is how it is. Excuse the dust on the crystal. This watch is a beast. And it is lovely.
  14. Important issues need pix for all to see... Here is a modified comparison shot showing the BR03 next to a PAM Luminor... This is proof that the BR01 is too big for 99.9% of the human populace. BRing on the 03...
  15. So it seems that the 42mm Br-03 is essentially the same size as a Luminor PAM. I am glad that I held off in getting the Br-01. The Luminor fits me great, but anything bigger looks like a friggin' joke on my wrist.
  16. Seen 'em in Osaka. The ones I've witnessed are poorly made.
  17. The only watch where this could be relevant is the Accutron 214 or 218. And this has nothing to do with the oils - it has to do with gravity upon the tuning fork pawls agains the main gear.
  18. Thanks for the excellent post. Great information. I would like to have some crystals done in the 2nd batch. And for the record, I think that not using Paypal is always a nice alternative Best regards, Euno
  19. I have a long history with EL. Tha Unicorn =
  20. I really like Hktan's pilot straps. I think I'll get me one for the unicorn special.
  21. I'm not so into the Ingeniuer. I think it's because of the wacky end link design which makes wearing straps not possible (aside from Ingenieur-specific straps). IMHO, the latest Ingenieur has no design inspirations from those earlier beautiful vintage Ingeniuer models. Sometimes "new" is better; but I do not think so in the case of the latest Ingeniuer incarnate. I also think that the design of the MK XV is timeless and the Mark series in general has a fascinating history to it.
  22. It's a damn sweet watch, isn't it? I got mine yesterday. I am most pleased with it... And yes, I will post pix in a few days. A date mod would be nice, but for now, it's fine. PS. It is a very substantial watch.
  23. Best regards to you & your endeavors, my friend. Cheers
