  1. Thank you again. Very helpfull. I got a 16520 bracelet and 382 endlinks.
  2. thank you. Here are some pictures: [
  3. Hi, i just got a 1680 from Narikaa. He sourced it on MBK. I did not realy care if I got an old or a new MBW. To deal with him was a pleasure as many of you know. I'm now curious what I have. It has polex design 1680 on one side and a L342xxx serial on the other. Is this an old (good) one or the newer one ( if it exist at all)
  4. Well, the title say's it all. I have a MBW 1680 and it is in need of a (re-)lume. I don't want to send it outside the EU. What options there are?
  5. I used TS80. Not so pleased with it. It makes the FGD dial grey and is not very strong, damages very quick. I bought some varnish from a local store which gives the dial great texture und the dial remains it's original color.
  6. Hi, just some pics as the title says. The sun was out and the light was good. First, 2x Logo (old and new) Second, 2x Sub Haha, just got my MBK/MBW 1680 today and he wanted to meet his big brother. Third, Pamily shot Thanks for looking, hope you enjoyed it.
  7. If you don't want to mod it I would go for the 26K. The 26K is better out of the box than the DSN 009.
  8. Sure, but it is probably a lot easier to relume the hands to match the numerals and at the same time making it more gen like Never the less you have a fine example there. Wear it in good health.
  9. To me the hands and the numerals, the 12 and 6, are all lighter than the dot indexes. I've seen this on almost all examples of gen's I've seen so far.
  10. And the last one. What you an see is that the hands are lighter in color as well.
  11. Hi Mike, It is suposed to be like that. Here is a picture of a gen, see the difference? I have an other, better example some where, will edit when I found it.
  12. Ohh, one more thing, I need a strap advise, what would fit best in your opinion?
  13. Hi Panera, thank you for your comment. It is highly appreciated. Don't forget you see the dial magnified in the picture. In real life it is not that noticeable. Still it remains a matter of taste and I like it this way. Ohh and it is actually my first dial I ever lumed, so yes there is A LOT to improve here
  14. I wanted to build a matching Logo 201/A. I studied them a lot of pictures on the net. Quite a lot of info can be found. Most 201/A where matching in dial and hands but after time the dial seems to alter different than the hands. That is what I wanted to reproduce on mine. So what are the ingredients: - DSN Pre-V case set - A very good crystal, sapphire with great optics. - Swiss ETA 6497-1 - FGD dial - FGD hand set - My own lume mixture (a lot of try and error and patience) - Torro Bravo CG (modded) - T-48 crown plus tubus - DSN case back - Correct Pre-V lug bars The most difficult part was the lume job on hands and dial. I think a made at least 4 attempts on the hands and 3 on the dial. I wanted a vintage look on both with that great cream/ivory white on the hands and great cream yellow/orange/peach on the dial. Important was/is that it still glows. So I needed to reproduce Tritium in glow, color and texture. Well this is the result: Dial just finished Dial and hands assembled Movement shot Finished 201/A Lume shot I hope my iPhone shots show the nice vintage feel and look of this watch. Thank you for looking
  15. As said on an other forum, this is one of the best or maybe the best 201/A I have seen on the forums. I love the texture on the dial.
  16. Hi Andy, thanks. This doens't mean that you are not needed anymore. I have one more 201/a dial
  17. Hi all, One of my grail watches is a 201/A. I had a unlumed dial from FGD which I sent for a lume here in Germany. It did not came out as I wanted, it was greyish with a green tint What to do, well try it myself. It just happend that i got some lume paste in today und I mixed that with yellow till I got the color I wanted. I had some experience with luming hands, 6 or 7 sets LOL. I used a very sharp toothpick to fill the dial with lume. I had to do this 3 times over! This is the result: It glows, not to much. It is suposed to be Tritum. Now I need to seal it of with some varnish, do you have any suggestions?
  18. Nice, nice movement that Hamilton. I like the hands, different but nice.
  19. Wear it in good health. These are very easy to bring to the next level. FGD dial and hands and an other crystal.
  20. Looking at the result my first tought was: NO WAY! Looks fabulous.
