I opened this thread, because some people think the modern MBW sub has a too big date-mag and the rehaut is to deep. One of these watches is my modern MBW with gen parts, the other is gen. So what do you think?
Thanks for looking...
The date-mag is not contingent on the rehaut. From four different factory watches you have also different cyclops!
IMO the WM9 rehaut is not deep enough. The old MBW modern case with holes in the lugs has the best rehaut. Like I said, that's in my opinion.
But the WM9 is still one of the best out there...
The red font is OK. About the color we can discuss...try the google-search and you will have hundrets of maches, then you can make your own decision about it.
I think so...

This hits are found after five minutes of search!
OK, maybe there are people who can do it, but all I've holded in my hands had a matt finish, and not shiny! You don's see that from 1 meter, but by closer looking...
But I will think about it, to order C1 and try a job on a noob-dial...
Thanks my friend.
I am not a friend of reluming modern dials! I owned a couple of month ago a TT Sub with relumed dial (and also other models). It's OK in the dark, but by looking on sunshine at the dial a lume-job is visible!
The noob-dial has a good lume IMO. Not perfect, but for a non-diver (like me) it's perfect...
Thanks! I am sure you will see it...
Take more: The MBW is (according to previous owner) about 4 years old. I really don't know what generation it is, because on the last gen (like Paso's) is the date mag too big. On this one it is correct. So I can't assign it...
Bracelet is from silix with hollow midlinks, outer clasp is OK but the inner was incorrect stamped. So I used the inner parts from a clasp that I found in my part-case. Of course with all correct numbers and very clean logo-stamp.
At last but no least, what I forgot: The bracelet is also brushed and polished to have a shiny finish like gen...
The work I did:
- gen insert
- gen crown
- gen tube
- CG's
- noob dial
- datewheel from the SSD
- case completely reworked
- polished bezel
- polished rehaut
- bezel reworked on a lathe to clip a gen insert in
- noob caseback
- bracelet with hollow midlinks mounted, brushed and polished it
- installed swiss ETA 2836-2 with rolex engraving
- clasp (from 2 several factorys made 1 perfect)
- set movement to +-2 sec/day
So what do you think?
The gen EL's don't fit all, they have to be bended a little. I have seen that some fit without modifications, and other not. I use at the most 455B from wholesaleout, they are perfect without any bending or modification, and they accept gen springbars...
