None of your options are likely good options for frankens IMHO. Gen parts and cost considerations will be deciding factors in a sub 1000 build. Stick with a Rolex Sub or Omega PO.

Try ebay, there are plenty of old watches/movements being sold as is.

Yes, I think many countries do not have the gift option. Just let the seller that your account can't send as gift and see how you guys can split the fees.

When sending funds as gift select for family and friends vs payment for goods or services. Just my 2 cents, unless you know and trust the seller whatever savings on your end by not covering the fees might be a risk as sending funds via gift leave you with little recourse if the deal goes south.

The suggestion that blue gave is about all there is for that question. You have to gently pry the permanent links apart, as said it's been done and posted before. Good luck!

It's not gold plated but here is the listing from when BK offered the TW Sub. It was at its time the best option for a reasonably priced 16610. It used a 2836 so the case was fat, the stock cg needed work, the bracelet had solid mid links, clasp had fat crown etc... But after WM9 left it was the best until TC reconnected with the factory making WM9. Pair with a y3135 unless you wanted to clip the gen dial feet.
