  1. Wow, this sounds like a newbie that has done his homework and is righteously shredding the best OTB 16610 reps out there..... The only thing better than a TC 16610 is a franken of gen parts. Only thing better than a franken is a 100% assembled by Rolex 16610 compmete with box and papers... You do understand that the crystal retaining ring is a circle and can be pressed on in any orientation desired, even by Rolex? On the wrist, a TC 16610 is the best OTB rep you can get past or present. As far as in the hands of a Rolex expert/enthusiast, anything other than a 100% gen assembled by Rolex would be at risk of getting called out. If you're afraid of getting called out by an expert then get a gen...
  2. Don't forget about the chisel and ball peen hammer for engraving the case back.
  3. Looks like 2824, likely Asian clone but going to need much better pics in order to tell.
  4. Almost all rep leather straps are of poor quality. It is a nice upgrade to get an aftermarket strap for a rep.
  5. Maybe they're just frowning at the fees the cc processor is charging them for a transaction that high. Could alwayes send Angus a pm direct and ask what's up.
  6. Compared to my 25c tires those are a true example of "Fat Tire"
  7. Doesn't look faded, I thought it was the BP version that faded...
  8. Before you buy a replacement, check and ensure that the divers extension is properly in its place. On my gen clasp the divers extension if not careful can easily be closed outside if it's "keeper" and cause the clasp to not stay closed.
  9. Try member ssteel. He is in the EU, the Netherlands iirc.
  10. Only makes sense after their smart phone release.... http://history.wital.net/en/press-events/press/tag-heuer-link-smartphone/
  11. So is the compound miter saw stand optional?
  12. Cheapie doesn't always mean inferior quality. Many of the mechanical movements out there are cheap and keep great time, Miyota, seiko, etc... it's probably not serviceable but likely to work for years to come.
  13. Looks like a cheapo, machining is very rough, screw heads are all chewed up... how is the time keeping?
  14. Woohoo! Thanks for the hard work keeping us up and going! I was about to go thru withdrawal...
  15. This comming from the guy that works on watches with hammers, chainsaws and Land Rover tires....
  16. 1:480 And they're not perfectly aligned, a bit off but very close...
  17. So just how drunk were you that you went to bed with that ugly duckling?!?
  18. Pretty much any wart treatment is doing just that (except burning, cutting it off etc), activating the immune system to clear the virus that is causing the wart. There is actually a brand of duct tape called duck tape!
  19. Thanks guys, I think I have it worked out with denimhead. It's gen so really not sure why all the fuss from the shop.
  20. Well if you like all three watches the same, then I'd say 2 watches is better than 1 watch. I'm not sure that I like 2 tone subs much to begin with so I could be biased.
