I'd go with the black. I used to think that I liked divers in colors other than black, but I kept flipping them in favor of black divers. Now that my collection is mostly black divers it is a lot more stable.
But apparently I am not one for change...
In the past I've had reps routed thru San Francisco or Chicago never Dallas or Miami and I live in Houston. I haven't bought since the posts about the possibile crackdowns. Since there a few watches that don't seem to pop up in the m2m section often I will be keeping an eye on this thread before my next purchase...
If it's sapphire then use anything other than sapphire or diamonds to clean it.
If it has an exterior coating of AR then as mentioned, breath or a slightly damp clean cotton cloth should do fine. Can probably use a cloth for cleaning eye glasses, not the disposable pretty moistened rather a reusable cloth.
So you're saying that we shouldn't conspire that whomever wins the mod for a day raffle shouldn't use the power granted to us from the forum gods and hack the forum to automatically forward all such posts to your PM box?
Well if you're comfortable sticking valuables there then, if you needed the extra cash you could take a trip to central America and they'll give you "something nice" to bring back.
I've got to ask, what the heck are those of you doing in bed that has you guys so concerned about scratching it if you wear your watch to bed? Or what kind of bed do you sleep in?
Yes, I don't like having a bedside clock, they're too bright and light up the entire bedroom so I wear my watch to bed instead. As I wear my watches in a rotation all of my watches must have great lume to qualify or else I will flip it for something that does.
Then I get to listen to my wife comment on how my "glowy watch" is making the entire room bright!
There used to be a correct hand stack version available, however the movement was not very stable.
Misiekped built a franken using a BP GMT II, a Yuki 3135, mixture of gen 3185 parts to get a franken 3185 movement correct hand stack version.
Otherwise the noob with gen bezel assembly and gen crystal is the best your going to get.
Great, wouldn't come up for me using the ebay ap, had to login using the desk top site and add him to my favorite sellers before I could see him on my phone.
Don't know about the seller your asking about but there is a post in the rolex forum about another seller. Read this: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/175500-wrapped-16613-bracelet-from-riyi/#entry1386823
+1 this is a good start, decent quality and selection. If watchmaking becomes more that a passing interest you can upgrade your tools a bit at a time but in the meantime you'll have some good tools to start with.
Depends on wether or not all of your date codes matched up, if not then your at risk of the expert calling foul for trying to pass it off as 100% legit... is this likely to happen on the typical sale/appraisal of a lowly 16610? Probably not but I'm sure that it is possible, it'd just be cocky to presume otherwise...
