  1. Foreground? The 1665 looks ridiculous! Something to really shoot for indeed. E
  2. I see. but all three of the subdials here work. Probably same movement, just older version? E
  3. The reset bottom pusher is closer to the crown than the start/stop pusher. overall I am quite pleased with it. E
  4. JMB, Let me know how to order these things. I need to also know where to get an overlay from. The one movement I have for the project does not have an overlay in the width I need for these. E
  5. You guys are a plethora of information! @FxrAndy: Well, the 12hr does follow the hour had. It does this in normal operation and when changing time. The top button does indeed start/stop and bottom resets. The engagement is very smooth and the hand does hit the markers correctly all the way around. That I am happy with. From what I see, it is the Seagull movement, then I will be OK with that. My correction on the whole V23 thing. I thought the V23 was the Venus 23, but in looking at material, I see it is the Valjoux description. I need to learn this new Chrono lingo. The dial has the seconds at 9, 12hr at 6, and .5 minute at 3? Again, never really played with chronographs until last night. I have pictures of the movement that I will post tonight. Thanks again guys for your awesome feedback and great information sharing. @Praetor: The guy I bought it from told me it was a Lemania movement in a recent(as of two minutes ago) email. I cannot verify this yet. E
  6. Thanks Lhooq. If anyone is an authority here regarding these watches it is you. Here's my original post with pictures. My Daytona 6263 I will take a look at the Ofrei stuff. Clark's on fleabay looked good as well and the prices are very, very decent. E
  7. Thanks Diesel. You know, both of the buttons Do function. I will investigate further to see what really lies in there. Never thought of Ofrei, but will check their stock out. E
  8. I bought it second hand as a basket case. Only thing basket about it was the pusher issue. I cannot tell you for sure. Is there a reference for this number?7320648 between the lugs at 6 o'clock? There is no case back gasket and everything else seems standard from what I have seen. I'm not an expert at all. E
  9. Hello guys and gals. I have been lurking the forum for a few months now and have gotten some really great advise and awesome insights on what it takes to be a true collector as well as shared whatever little information I have as well. Recently I stuck a deal for a 6263 with a v23 movement and all of the sub dials work. The only issue I see with the watch thus far is that the pushers were butchered, and I see no case back gasket or o-ring. Questions, do these 6263 Rollies get a gasket in the back(no pun)? What is the best source for pushers, are there any others than the Nostalgia store? So far all of the functions work correctly, from what I have read, and just looking to get more information on how to maintain and service this lovely piece of engineering. I know it's not much, but I kinda like it. Some quick and dirty pictures included. I already have a t-21 crystal in the works and will take the case apart, but want to make sure I have the correct pushers first and a guide on how to take the movement out without killing it. E Duplicate server 500 error. Please delete. E
  10. Definitely look great! will save a lot of headaches. JMB you rock man. PM replied. E
  11. I received a 6263 that I may keep, but I need to know if the pushers are easily sourced and how to remove them. Also, is there a case back gasket for these watches? I love the black dial with silver sub dials. Looks sick. I believe this one has Venus 23 movement and it's rock solid. Unfortunately(or fortunately for me) the PO tried to "improve" upon the pushers, thus making them unusable. I tried the functions by pressing down with a toothpick and everything works as it should, including all three of the sub dials. Pics later. I have a riveted bracelet (thanks Nanuq) in the works for it, but may go with the more classic Paul Newman leather cuff. Hate to hyjack the post, but need information. Loving these Daytonas. E
  12. That is what I'm trying to Finish a 1680. I also have a nice 1665 GW with ETA feet dial that will work for the 1665 case I have. Thanks JMB E
  13. JMB, what's the damage? I will need two in black. I'll take the damaged ones. I'm crazy like that haha E
  14. Nice! Just so you guys know, there is a little rumble about rose sub dials being in production now in the 26mm range. E
  15. @Nanuq, Oh, Duh. lol I got one of those Josh 1680 for another project. Will see how bad the Cgs really are. I can always grind between the CGs to make them a bit deeper, but not too much and use the correct 7mm crown that won't sit too high and see how it goes. My issue is water tightness and every day use. I cannot bare to wear a watch that I have to baby. I grew up with G-shocks and coral reef hits and crashes while surfing were common, but those Gshocks just took it and wanted more. E
  16. Where did you get the $99 josh from? Maybe I'm not doing the US conversion? :/ Have a 2783 movement, dial, hands and nice band waiting on what to do and which case to use. E
  17. @ Freddy What is the diameter of this dial? Just curious. E
  18. Looks really good. Is that a t-19 service crystal? E
  19. I almost forgot to ask, are these already set for the rolex window spacing, or fot the ETA one? E
  20. All look very good. I may sample some of the pictures for my builds. Lovely. E
