  1. Printing the comex brand on the gen dial may prove very hard and possibly ruin that dial. Q
  2. I dig it, except for the seemingly pinkish lume fill. Overall very good. Do you have shots of the lug engraving?
  3. Very nice indeed. Please measure the cannons to ensure that we know what hands are compatible as well. I may want to get one of these for the movement later on. E
  4. ^^^^ it should fit the y3135 same foot location, but the date disc will be the wrong one. I would love to find a group buy for the correct font/serif and progression date disc to use a y3135 movement with the correct font, or even a nice 2892 eta or 2824 eta. Pete, where are you
  5. The 16800 was a three liner I think. Although from what I have read all of these watches were just gifts that saw no real action. NDT has a matt 3 liner like Yuki's, but no WGS. Personally I like the 3 liner better as it is less cluttered. I am sure something could be ordered custom based.
  6. You can try NDT reading for the 16610/16800 comex dial. It will be the two liner I think. You can always buy the Yuki one and change the markers. I had a project planned to make a comex 16610 with a y3135. Still on hold.
  7. Thanks D. Only one I have left that's gen is the one missing the 11 o'clock marker. White gold surrounds. I may build a beat up 666 if I get to fix this SSD case in the spring.
  8. Finally done. Movement fixed (y3135) and some gen parts added to the movement which will hopefully hold out better. So Duke's build is comprised of: Gen crown and tube Gen insert and SL pearl Y3135 serviced and gen parts added(gen set screws coupled with trimmed tabs to hold it tighter in place. No need for a movement holder) ST3035 SL hands(not really super lumed but they do the trick) Manhand1 16660 dial SSD v2 Jackjo case further modified by me and lugs drilled by the magical hands of JMB (Clicker adjusted, repolished and beveled lug holes, squared off lugs at the ends, sealed HEV although it isn't needed on the SSD and gen o-ring on the case back) TC 93160a bracelet with a gen diver's extension(just trimmed the SELs so that Duke is receiving an unworn bracelet) Gen spring-bars that fit perfectly.
  9. Is that from the google translator big brother Nanuq? Mele kalikimaka to all ! And fleece nauveedaud too all( please know that I spelled it this way to add humor to an otherwise sad phonetical tranalation). Feliz navidad too. This is my second home this makes all of you fawkers my family too! Spend it with yours, in good health, or thinking about yours in good health. Stay safe and be merry. E
  10. Lovely build brother!!! I wish there was a double like button!
  11. If that's the case, then a properly serviced y3135 should suffice. As MS stated gen function is already present in the movement and no modification of gen dial or hand is needed, not date disc.
  12. Couldn't tell. My verizon ONT box decided to fry today so no internet or cable during the snow.
  13. You probably could, but money would be better spent on a gen winding assembly. Quieter and better built. Gen mainspring and a proper service and you're good. The date jumper and date disc as well.
  14. They have use the .25 pitch for the screw-in pushers in the Daytona cases. I was telling Lions before that I have three different 702 tubes and one I know for sure is gen. The gen one is thicker at the base than the AM ones. This weekend I can mic something up. Finals this week and next week.
  15. Correction 600 not 603 on my previous post. Your builds are going to be epic! You guys could always entertain us mortals with some pictures
  16. DB is your tube gen or aftermarket? I ask because there is only one tap listed for the 603,700-703 tubes. .35 is the pitch. Could be that the previous tap wasn't sharp enough? I always run the tap slowly to make sure that the threads are ok before putting a tube in.
  17. I like the 702 for the 5514 build. Best of both worlds.
  18. The first coat is an anti-fish-eye coat
  19. Exactly! The domed sapphire with AR is definitely a nice touch. The case reminds of the those Aqualung watches from decades ago. Overall really nice piece. E
  20. 387 EU is not too bad all considering. I have about that much on the Big crown Tudor I am working on and then some and the watch is still not finished. They claim 300m water resistance on this vintage one. Will be hard to prove but the watch looks tasty. For the money, this can easily be a daily wearing watch that commands elegance and knowledge of vintage pieces. Just saying Great pick up for sure Mike.
  21. Sheit! That looks good. Big crown candidate? Everyday at the office watch? What?
