  1. looks great... are you intending to print that or pad printing? green is a tricky color for most printers
  2. i wouldnt get that... case is badly repolished with bezel dial and crystal all wrong
  3. I'm on rehab now Thankfully I'm out getting new reps for awhile... pretty hard to get my juices going for a new build... was wondering who bought that 5513 off slay Let me know if you wish to let it go ^^ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It was my first PN, unlikely I'll let it go though... I never really got hard into the PN daytonas for some reason... they are great to wear with suits though Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I only have one PN in my fora Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. There was some controversy regarding that T&C dial, it can be a gen singer plate but I doubt it's a gen PN dial. If it was gen it would be in the 5 figure range. It's a nice piece nevertheless, enjoy it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. i will go for a a23 jf instead... those a7750 versions are very very thick and ugly imho...
  8. I have a kenny 6241, great build imo... watchguy builds pop up ever once in awhile
  9. 1675 or a 6542 will be nice...
  10. congrats to dpap for a beautiful piece, a unique panam build i must add, the aluminium insert gives it a very different profile from the more commonly seen bakelite 6542
  11. if theres one thing i utterly dislike is that auction houses always over hype the items for auction. The pictures they upload and showcase are often always photoshopped and can be starkly different from what you get when you see the item in person. saying that the case was hardly ever polished is complete [censored] in my opinion, the words they use are mis guided and a sales pitch. carefully chosen to hype up the sale price however, christie has made an extremely strong case for this particular piece. four renowned daytona experts were called in and they all unanimously agreed that the dial was correct in everyway. Rolex Geneva confirmed that the dial was made by them as well, this was a controversial piece for many reasons as reported here; https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/rolex-daytona-black-ghost-roc-paulnewman if history is a representation of the future, more examples of this piece will pop up, only that way will the vintage fora agree in consensus that they actually do exist. it is however, ridiculous to think that a watch that sold for 250-300usd 30 years ago would go for over half a million today.
  12. very very sorry to hear that this might be the last piece you are modding bane, your works have been a front runner for all vintage rolex rep lovers alike. Always look forward to the pieces of art you create, and its a great way to mark the last piece.
  13. this is an absolute masterpiece. many meticulous effort to get the piece done right as a whole. true work of art. thanks for sharing!
  14. [censored], sorry to hear that Doc, surprised that you didnt reach out for a refund...
  15. alot of work went into the dial im sure have been following this build closely, congrats Bart!
  16. JJ is still Doing mods, but I believe you could ask rolojack too
  17. Edge, having seen a very large number of vintage Rolexes, a phong is a good base but you will need to send it to a modder to get it reshaped. The smallest details are what makes vintage Rolex amazing. The chamfers, thin profiles, nicely aged dial and will lumed plots are very hard to find well put together. There are many people who can do it at Europe as you mentioned. 3-4K estimate is on the correct ballpark. But expect things to go wrong, like all mods, they require patience, can't wait to see what you can create
  18. mmm interested to know as well... from taking apart and putting watches together, never had the dial with a gap before...
  19. your datewheels are legendary welcome back!
