  1. Thought I'd give a quick update on this one today, I have been trying to make some time to do the refinish on the watch especially the bracelet so between decorating the house and work I found a couple hrs free today so off I went! My main reason for wanting to do the refinish is that the bracelet had some really sharp edges on it on the underside of the links so when I have been wearing it it chafes on my wrist, not good, so I started by filing away that sharp edge with a nail file one link at a time (tried a few ways with my dremel but kept catching it on the shiny edges) took a good bit of time but after about an hrs work it was nice and smooth! Next I refinished the bracelet with a scotch pad and cape cod for the shiny bits, the watch head was finished with the pad and cape cod the same then ultra sonic cleaned all of it, while I was there I had the back off and re-greased the seal too, all up took about two half hrs and it came up pretty good Feels even better now and really looks the part (and no more chaffed wrist!) it really is a fantastic rep I can't imagine how good the Gen must be in the flesh! Apologies too I didn't think to take pics whilst doing it
  2. Looks Awesome Enjoy it B ! Quality work Omega !
  3. Can only talk about the reps I've had so far, and I haven't had them tested with a machine, mine have all been fine to swim shower and snorkel with I do make sure mind that I grease the caseback etc and seal the He etc before they get wet not tried any of the chrono's I've had though!
  4. I'll take most of mine in the water as long as they are on bracelet or a nato strap but I have checked and lubed all the seals first on the reps...no worries so far! This one's been in quite a bit ..
  5. That's a looker Cats very nice!

  13. I would be interested to know an informed opinion on this to mine are kept in a winder and (touch wood) no worries so far, but I mainly do that because I hate to have to set the time/date every time I change watch I prefer to pick one up and its ready to wear. I generally find that once a month I need to reset a few of them to the correct time so I do it on or after the 1st so if I need I can reset the date too, from a mechanical point of view I would think having the movements working would have more benefits than having them not
  14. I'm currently waiting on my Tc IV at the moment B, tbh I looked around quite a bit for a Gen insert, got one on here brand new for not much more than your looking at now, pm me if you want any details
  15. These look really good as does the new 212
  16. I am on the go all day most days of the week and my daily beater Po42 has just stopped after 34hrs of not being worn, it has the dg2813 movement (unserviced) I agree with the watch winder advice and have one or two myself, but If you prefer the porn that's all good too, much more fun than the winder! From my experience with reps and gens too they just need to be worn regularly to get the reserve going failing that or you have a few to rotate get a winder....easy
  17. You lot are too good pretty sure you just saved some guy serious cash good on ya !
  18. Looks the same one I saw on here too, looking for the sales post for ya....
  19. Stunning love the Orange Bezel !
  20. Not sure on movement service cost but I had an SMP head and bracelet refinished here this year for $90 it came back looking as good as new sold it soon after though! My current SMP I refinish myself when it needs it (mainly the clasp) after reading the posts on how to do it here, works a treat @ sneed12 - now that sounds like a plan!
  21. You should have no worries rwg it's on my list too ! When I get some more funds together
