  1. According to my limited knowledge (and numbers in the pinned endlink thread here at RWG) I thought both endlinks should be exactly 20.0 mm... Can't answer for what's "Rolex spec variation" and what's rep spec
  2. Noticed him selling of a super set of oem 3714 parts a month ago - don't think I've seen him since then...
  3. No wristie today - am no fan of wso pre-v lug bar screws...
  4. Thought so too. The 1016 case is 2 mm larger right?
  5. Awesome and one of the most educative writeups I've ever seen, thank you very much for that! Needless to say, this build oozes of attention to details and is right up there side by side with lhooq when it comes to the hall of fame 1016s of RWG. Hope you enjoy this and that it gets wrist time given the competition in your collection
  6. Don't really understand the listing. Is it just the dial, just a movement - or both you've won?
  7. +1, 1655 cases should be thicker. Noticeable especially compared to older 1675s. Get a Phong or mod an ingod case like denimhead did and stick a gen gmt movement in there.
  8. What dbane said. Very sorry to hear this Rolexaddict. Being impatient/aggresive instead of maintaining communication and seeking solutions is sign of poor etiquette in also this hobby.
  9. Some wristies from tonight, pardon the poor light! First on Donerix leather: Then on gen 93150:
  10. The service dome is sourced from a great member that has posted in this thread He saved me after it turned out that the originally bought t19 dome (from a guy at VRF) didn't fit... Thanks! And I'm forever impressed by that great 1520 build of yours. Would of course have gone that path if I had the funds...
  11. Member highhoeyazmuhudee, a limited run. More info here:http://www.rwgforum.net/index.php?/topic/150179-my-first-5514-prototype-case%2E-Done%2E
  12. Just to be clear - Akira really tried to convince me not to break the first commandment above - I however stayed firm and must say I love the great feel of the low-beat 2846 and the extra $1k in my pocket (or, to be honest already sunk into other builds)
  13. Possible, but remember that the 1601 is not the best case candidate for a gen like 1016. Too thin: That said - still a nice case shape...
  14. Really great info automatico and Seacraft! Yes, was looking into a 16750 too as they're often better condition - when the bank account looks better I might go after one
  15. Thanks for a great answer! Think the term is just "dial dots" - or "those tape stripes that you cut to correct size"
  16. Yes, meant that Raffles is worth a shot. Will order shortly and update here after. Thanks everyone!
  17. EL was a true champ! Do take care of that baby and give it some wrist time
  18. I've seen someone in another thread mention that the stock "josh 1:1 1655" caseback screws on, but not perfectly on a gen case. Worth a shot.
  19. Iirc, the "new and improved 29j" has been around since 2011...
  20. Thanks! I'll try that. So you mean you're using it with a gen 1675 case? Just double checking Have never seen anything decently priced from the frenchman and when I chatted with him last week he didn't have anything engraved II-IV 67. Note: he does have one listed at 195 euros, but he was transparent with it being totally bust and would not screw on a case (would need full rework/threading, which I unfortunately don't know how to do). So summarized, right now I'm sure as heck putting a rep caseback on - if I can find one that fits. What forum were we on now again..?
  21. Thanks, I'll stay away from mq then. Would be nice to also avoid Phong... There's a gen "almost" period correct (1968) caseback for sale locally for around $500 - but want to save $$$ now
