  1. Thanks for the knowledge sharing, much appreciated! How about the time factor, i.e if I own a watch and develop affection for it - does it make life harder for you guys (read, more expensive service) if actions are taken first when time keeping goes worse?
  2. Am in the same situation as you Z, looking for a leather nato. Found a picture of a strap I liked via google, anyone happen to know who this is from? Might up ending with Pete as well though.
  3. Beatiful build, great work!! Seen some of these over at HF, but this really stands out. Being totally noob at Seikos, which models nbrs work for dial an cb replacements? Tried googling Seiko5 once but got stuck, sorry and thanks
  4. Guess you're looking for a screw-in/springbar version?
  5. No expert, but own a 111 and that looks very nice to me. CG and pin sits nice and flush and your movement looks very well adjusted. Don't know if it's the angle, but is there some kind of smudge under the caseback on the crown side?
  6. Agree, stick it! Excellent post.
  7. Shoot him a PM, you'll get a quick reply on what he has in stock and recommendations.
  8. I hope fellow tag experts here can bring advice on something to buy that's more well under $1000
  9. Hi mate, First noob replica advice (too almost all of us) - stop coming into the rep world and having such respect and craving for something that can be tracked back to that small alp state! Sure, people there are OK, but asian movements are actually great for a fraction of the cost. Sure, you could hunt down an ETA 7750 for some $400 and asks someone to help you install it. But I don't think it'll make you a happier man. Just my 2 cents
  10. Think what Joshua meant is that the previous offer from H (M series) was clearly behind Noob on a number of points - some of which has been bettered for the newer release (e.g hi-beat movement). So the gen doesn't improve, but the rep does IMHO I think the N still looks better though and that some sellers were out of stock and tried to push out H a while back...
  11. Beautiful looking mod!! The Y incabloc is a prime example on what pain a tiny anal detail can cause once you've learned how to spot it
  12. +1, you should start a factory for these, lovely! Definitely feel vintage Pepsi thirst, this is one of the nicest I've seen so far.
  13. Nice to hear Z, I'm sure you'll be very happy with Spin! Just got a 6263 delivered to our dear motherland two weeks ago - very happy with it! Kinda regret not having him to aging work as well though - didn't even know he did that... Please do post in a couple of months when you have it back!
  14. I bow down to the great knowledge in this forum, thank you so much guys for posting!!
  15. Do the maths, but remember that value is relative and that it's still a fake watch / illegal item and unsellable outside of forums like dear RWG
  16. That's about the same price I paid to have Spinmaster put together a DW set, a modified asian 7750 movement plus the exact mods you list (plus waterproofing, adjusting etc). Think the mods were then listed at additional cost $350. FYI, there are numerous suppliers of parts here (cartel stock from TDs, yuki, ingod44, NDT, phong etc - the latter more expensive, at least the phong case) - you better ask for clarification before pulling the trigger. Here's my Spin 6263 (pardon the angle that makes the crystal look funny and the fact that I'm allergic to bracelets):
  17. What case and movement would the 6263 have?
  18. Have only chatted with Nik a couple times, although we're fellow countrymen, communication was then however good. Main reason for the few contacts was that I happened to stumble across Texski, who must be one of - or even THE best guy around these forums. Highly technically skilled, always with time to help and very caring about fellow members. From PM conversations I know him being torn up and fighting for this specific watch (I think ) - and that was WAY before this thread was posted. Have no fears or worries dealing with these guys, but everyone form their own opinion.
  19. Thanks, guess I'll have to continue searching if I want an upgrade to the late DW that I have...
  20. Excellent, The King is back! Thanks for posting, have been browsing that ebay store for quite some time... Pardon a thread hijack, but does anyone know if his PN Daytona dials are for Valjoux 72x only or if they can fit a Spinmaster modded 7750?
  21. Yep, he's the man for sewned-in buckles! Darn pleasant doing business with as well. Not really sure on whether he makes them himself or if he has some sweatshop working after his drawings, believe there were some details in his section over at WC. Here's some more pics for you from his photobucket:
  22. I'll make another recommendation for the straps from Rolexfinder, shot of his black calf mx, feels really nice:
